I’m a spurs fan and the only reason I can think of why He rejected Barca is because he wants to play for real and Tottenham is the stepping stone. Cause if he signed for Barca it’s kinda committed a football sin to switch from one club to the other. This kid like van der ven will both play for real in the future but let’s enjoy them now in spurs kits.

same wages, same fee, he just picked a club on the up, which is organised, stable, has a great manager over a club in shambles on the downward trajectory, relying on stars to run their contracts down so they get them for free. He also wanted to play in the premier league which is a big attraction in itself.
