    Lol, I remember having to remove the motor mount while replacing the timing belt, TB tensioner, pulleys, and water pump on a ST185. If you're going to own & work on one of these cars, be sure to get the shop manual before you begin, as every bolt has a specified torque setting.

    Do you know where to find the torque specifications for gen4? I see some MR2 vendors who sells them for Gen5. I assumed gen4 and 5 are different?

    • @bitingantz
      @bitingantz  Před 2 lety +1

      Torque specs are same for gen4/5. I detailed engine torque specs on my videos so hopefully you can watch.

    Is that a factory engine lift hook right by the exhaust cam gear? My gen4 has a wimpy little hook on a single bolt

    • @bitingantz
      @bitingantz  Před rokem +1

      Yes its the hook from a mr2 3sgte engine. You can also modify the hook from a 5sfe engine to fit.

      My cover was polished, its not new for sure. Your best bet is ebay at this point.
