This videooooo hit. The amount of money i have spent for my business that is not even live yet i crazy! PEOPLE that talk about how you don't need much to start is lyinggggg. lol But i know that come March it will all be worth it because i believe in myself and i believe in my brand.
it's expensive AF!! that's why if i had to start over again I would be very intentional on what I spend my money on
Yeah i think i was a little over my head and ahead of my self when i started to spend on start up costs. lol i am just thankful i didn't take a loan out to do so. Funded my own and i know it will be worth it!@@UrbanWanderlustStudios
I’m in the same position I’ve spent a good amount of time and money on products and everything needed for my business when it’s not even ready and live yet I sometimes doubt myself and think is this just a waste of time and money but always go back and say to myself I won’t find out unless I take that risk either it goes good or it doesn’t and it’s a life lesson

Con: You have to learn all the roles of running a business. Not only the craft of candle making but how to manage inventory, how to market (a HUGE deal if you want to succeed), SM management and the list goes on. 😬

Where did you get your wax from?
You’re correct, the market is saturated. But, this is where your marketing comes into play. I’ll host 2 launch parties.mine in July and one in Sep. the July launch will tell me what scents I need to add for September…since my goal is to launch Oct 2024. The one thing I can offer newbies is to stick to a handful of scents and add as your knowledge and customer base grows.

This year lots of candle businesses in the UK are failing, saturation and recession is hitting hard.
Love boss women helping other boss women! Thanks for sharing your insights about your experience with making candles. If you ever consider using a print on demand company that makes hand-poured sustainable candles in high-volume production I work for a company that does this. The best part of candle business owners using them is their custom packaging with your business labeling. It seems like every time I fix one variable (getting a better mold) I’ll screw up a different one ( stepping away from my wax melter and coming back to over heated wax) 🤦♀️ 🥵

Ohh no never feel like a loser. Even people that have been making candles for years still run into issues and have to remaster their craft.
