Those little plastic clips that hold the upper rack in and adjust it are a challenge.. it's impossible to figure out where they go if they pop off.

They can be kind of tricky. If you want, you can check out our Dishwasher Buying Guide linked in the description. We go into a lot of detail about different rack arrangements and even more.
      Thanks!

First of all, KitchenAid hasn't built a good dishwasher since Hobart sold them to Whirlpool. As for being quiet, I like an appliance that makes noise. You can tell what they're doing.

@jwathas I respectfully disagree.nothing is going to beat a kitchenaid hobart.nothing.the soak and scrub setting is unbeatable on any dishwasher .plus it actually used water, unlike today's dishwashers that have so many restrictions it's not even funny and also it takes longer to wash the dishes.

bought a Kitchen dishwasher and loved it, until the pump and motor assembly went out about 11/2 years later. with service calls and parts i could have bought a new one. really expected it to last longer there's only 2 people using it so it's not like it was running 24/7. would i buy another one??? only with a service contract

Extended warranties are only offered for 5 years of coverage from the date of purchase of a new dishwasher. So at 11.5 years after your purchase, an extended service contract would have been long expired.

      Mr. Bean,
That's a tough decision that really depends on what works for you and your family. They each have quite a few different models with different washes and dB levels. If you want to learn more you can check out our Dishwasher Buying Guide that you can download by clicking the link in the description!
      Thanks!

I have a cheap bottom of the line Kenmore dishwasher from 2001, no bells and whistles. It just cleans the dishes every single time and ompletely dries them. No fuss. Never, ever a break down.

Wish I had a dishwasher like that. They don't make them like that any longer!

    Mystery Shopper
Bought a new one of these kitchen aid DWs replacing a 15 yr old machine - now wishing I had kept the old one, kitchenaid is a POS. If you want a machine that requires you to clean all the dishes spotless before putting them in the machine then this is the item for you lmao. POS. Do not buy, monumental waste of space.

kitchenaid dishawasher kdfe304dwh0 I have died after 34 months and I only used it 100 times or less..... JUNK

They spent a lot of money engineering obsolescence into these dishwashers... Don't expect it to last 10 yrs. without repair costs... Class action lawsuit on upper rack wheel axels that were designed to fail every 150 run cycles... and need to be replaced yearly.

That's a strong accusation. There's nothing we're aware of right now, but we always try to act in the best interest of our customers. We have our own in-house delivery, install and repair teams and stand behind everything we sell. 🙂

    • @IKnowYouDidnt
      @IKnowYouDidnt Před 5 lety

Kitchenaid denies it, of course... But, the class action is forcing them to reimburse for repair costs and replace the wheel assembly with stainless.

@@IKnowYouDidnt KitchenAid appliances are nothing more than Whirlpool JUNK, with the KitchenAid brand-name on the front panels of their appliances! Whirlpool bought-up the majority of (American) appliance brand-names years ago... so they don't manufacture a durable product to compete since they own most appliance name-brands now! They're running a RACKET-SCAM.... & getting away with it!! DESPICABLE!!
