Your version of the high and tight skin Fade is the ideal haircut for me with good-shaped heads, that are prepared to forgo all the hair on the crown of the Head.. to be taken right down as smooth as this, definitely must give the client "The Feel good Factor.. the skilful scissor work on the top of the head , made the remaining hair look far more vibrant, and definitely virile..Top notch lining of the forehead.

Man, This is one of the best I have ever seen! During my career, nobody could ever figure this out. It's like barbers are scared to go over the apex of the back of the head and with a double crown, it starts to look crazy after 8-9 days.
How does one explain that they want a cut exactly like you just demonstrated?? lol I'm laughing, but dead serious.

My question is, why put in guide lines? Why not use the 1 1/2 or 1A to start the high fade and flicker out the taper? Then work your way down with the OA then the 000 to the shaver. Avoid the extra work trying to eras the guidelines?
Different techniques. Great idea also. Might do a tutorial that way to help someone out there. Thanks

Can you recommend any clippers and stuff to start out ? And how would you cut it your self on your self
Most barbers when they start they get a bunch of different brands and use 2 clippers in one haircut and in return they get lost and or take the fade higher. So my advice to you is try to stick to one brand like Wahl or Andis at least at first till you master some technics . Of you go with Andis, get the masters with the double magnetics blades and the famous T-Outlines to do you edges or Slim Pro also cordless. With Wahl the cordless Seniors is lighter but a bit more steps. Im using Wahl now waiting on the Cordless masters coming out soon. Best of lucks
