Goldberg continuing to be a Smeghead is nothing knew. Asuka's streak was established long before his ego allowed him to return to the WWE for a short run, other people were using the speak in wrestling long before he was, and why should Bret Hart forgive Goldberg for being so callous and careless for not realizing that he injured Bret before that kick.
Don't be a jerk

Great episode!! Camt wait to watch the other ones!! #tackleALS
Thanks so much! And of course... #tackleALS :)
Goldberg drew more money in 1 year than Asuka has her entire career
Goldberg is turning into Crybak..
Great Content, Great Interview :) Greeting from Germany
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting what he said about Bret Hart 😲
He basically admitted that he was a botch machine that endangered himself and whoever he was in the ring with. Between being on the sidelines for a botch that he did with the car window or ending Bret Hart’s career, he should have been sent down to the Indy’s to develop. If you are a bad worker, you shouldn’t be complaining about a woman who is 10x better than you.
Goldberg is mad because somebody else is doing his running hug move? He didn't even invented it.
Actually, I'm pretty sure he did invent it. Who was using the Spear as a finisher before Goldberg? Shoulder block takedowns existed in wrestling before Goldberg of course, but everything I've read suggests Goldberg invented the Spear as we know it today.
he actually did invent it
It's just a football tackle, I wouldn't say he "invented" anything, moreso he just brought it to pro wrestling.
Not only was it common for football player-wrestlers, it wasn't even Goldberg's finisher. That was the jackhammer. I guess all the self-inflicted head trauma is coming back to haunt this clown.

Everybody talking about him bashing Asuka but no one left an time mark on here..
do people need to do everything for you kid?
@@PitBullPlaysGames As far as not wasting my time watching a whole damn video... Yes!
Honestly, man, you're just better off looking for transcripts of his comments. He just sounds like such an unintelligent and dim witted meathead the way he whines and cries about it.
I almost lost all respect for him when he mentioned the thing about his and Asuka’s undefeated streak, he said it in the worst way possible and made it come off as sexist, and at the same time it doesn’t always have to be about him, completely being ironic when the fact mentioned is that he literally congratulated her on the undefeated streak on twitter when she surpassed his. Asuka has had over 1668 matches in 20 years, and goldberg has had only 383 in 20 years smh
Yeah he was super disrespectful. Just you’re not familiar and move on. The fact that he doesn’t know Kana/Asuka says more about him than anything else.
I guarantee you wwe made him send that tweet. Honestly you shouldn't expect goldberg to keep in touch with todays wrestling since he was gone for 12 years at the time and had a bad taste for wwe. And i dont know where you took the comment as sexist lol.
I don't believe Goldberg has beef with Asuka herself. I believe it's more to do with how petty and vindictive WWE under Vince McMahon could be with anyone that McMahon didn't personal cast in his own vision.
Damn Goldberg has only 383 matches? That’s crazy to think about
@@DEVINNATAProbably because he says they had a 'girl' beat his streak. A little disrespectful, she's a woman and she has had quite a prolific and extremely respectable career as a pro wrestler.
1. The spear was used in pro wrestling long before Goldberg made his debut. Edge didn't start to use it in 2016. He was retired at this time.
2. The numbers of his "undefeated" streak were way off and nowhere near 173. Check every reliable database.
3. He lost his third match against a jobber. So, no 173-0.
4. Asuka broke "his" streak in 2018. Goldberg wasn't even in WWE at this time.
Goldberg demands respect all the time, yet he goes ahead to mispronounce Asuka's name and calls her "some Japanese girl". Respect is earned Bill. Start by not calling one of the best women in the biz as a "Japanese girl" and try to pronounce her name correctly.
Goldberg's undefeated streak in WCW was so much fun, and something wrestling is sorely lacking nowadays. I appreciate long matches and 60-minute draws as much as the next fan, but sometimes you just want something short and straight-to-the-point.
They padded that record so hard... I was 14/15 during his run in WCW and I remember every week the # would grow larger and larger and I thought to myself, "how did he win 10 matches since last Monday?" 😂
I enjoyed Asuka's streak much, much more.
i've literally never seen an asuka match from start to finish; I do remember goldberg versus hogan, raven and ddp though.
Loved Goldberg in WCW, there were a lot of impressive fish in that pond, but man was the great white in that ecosystem! Such presence and physique and he had that badass music and entrance, just fucking electric!
He never recaptured his WCW success, turns out he needed the streak and top billing to be anything in wrestling. A better in-ring wrestler or more secure character would have found some range and made it work, but man has zero chill, is the ultimate macho beast, and can't be anything but serious. Without wins he just lost credibility and respect, there was nothing there for fans to follow other than supporting a winner.
He seems like a kind person and loves kids but his comments are utterly brainless and disrespectful and he should really have stayed quiet on some issues here. Bret, Asuka and even Triple H, just tactless comments.
Good podcast though, that was awesome Tim!!!
Undefeated streak? It's not like he actually had to defeat someone....he was just being pushed by management. WWE didn't want to push him because he was a lousy wrestler and, unlike the Rock who was also someone who did little in the ring, was shit for promos.
The Rock did never little in the ring. He had a solid moveset and could go for Iron Man matches.
Goldberg is working lol
Let's not forget that long term undefeated streaks were a common way yo get people over long before Goldberg. Guys like Mr. Perfect, Hulk Hogan and even Tatanka had lengthy undefeated streaks. Let's not forget about Andre the Giant either. Also, Goldberg's streak was padded from week to week with matches that never actually happened. That's right, even in a worked sport, his record was a work.
Yeah the spear just now happened after he got there 🙄 not like Edge or Rhyno ever used it
goldberg just mad he hasnt been important in years
We get that Goldberg didn't hurt Bret on purpose. The thing is he was just a careless botchmachine and unfortunately not only in that specific situation. Neverthless, it happened and nobody can change what happened. The thing that bothers me though is that he's full of himself and he actually thinks he was kinda great in the ring and a trailblazer. He was an entrance, an impressive figure. Nothing more.
Me: "I couldn't possibly have less respect for a wrestler than I have for Bill Goldberg."
Bill Goldberg: "Hold my beer."
Wow. What a bunch of cry babies in these comments over Goldberg.
Goldberg has zero self-awareness
Seriously. The dude absolutely reeks of Old, Entitled, White Dude syndrome.

I like Goldberg, but there is ZERO way that him putting his hand through the limo window on some random Nitro in 1999, when ratings were starting to slip, was the highest rated segment in history for WCW on TNT (he doesn'teven specify WCW; he just states TNT). That is not beating out the ratings of the golden years of WCW mid '96-'98.
I feel like he was trying to be funny when mentioning Asuka and his spear but it made him come off as a jerk. I still like Goldberg as a performer and think he’s one of the coolest acts of all time. He should probably just stop doing any sort of interview at this point though and just go out as a legend.
as-soo-ka haha oh bill what a burk you are and im fairly sure alot of people had been using the spear before you got there its a pretty common move
Edge, Rhyno, Jim Duggan to name a few...
Asuka has more talent in her little finger than bitter Bill
Idk why he says oh they let askua beat my record. His record doesn't count cause from WCW and nvr confirmed its know to be embellish by WCW F Goldberg who can't wrestle.
Mr. Green, if you are reading this I want you to know that I'm really concerned about Mr. Goldberg's neurological condition. The timeline of events he was describing about his time WWE was blurred and out of sync chronologically. Maybe his time with WWE has become one big blur in his mind, or he has the onset of something more serious due to both age and the fact that he participated in full contact, full impact athletic activity where he was required to use his head as a weapon (with and without protective head gear such as a helmet). I really think he should get a medical check up just in case he has the onset of something serious. I'm worried for him.
Honestly, man. I chalk it up to him just not caring. I legitimately don't think he ever enjoyed professional wrestling or even respected it.
Why would anyone believe this guy? Be better.
Asuka > Goldberg. Most of Goldberg's streak was literally faked anyhow, they'd add like 5 victories to his streak for every one legit victory. Asuka actually went undefeated for that long, and did it while wrestling matches that lasted longer than 2 minutes.
lol no
@@meherenow793Yes
bill talks an awful lot of shit for someone who's infamous for being an unsafe headcase.
Bill is really full of himself and that's sad
35:23 I love how Goldberg respects Japanese wrestling but not for the reasons that Smarks do, but because in Japan they let you hit hard and no one cries about it.
And it's funny because the people who criticize him the most (smarks) are the same people who want that strong style to be done in the West, putting wrestlers' careers at risk.
I am a faithful believer that wrestling is a TV drama so hitting hard and incapacitating your wrestlers is not something desirable, especially if there is no story behind it.
But unlike most Japanese wrestlers that weeb smarks love, I have a high appreciation for Goldberg, because he precisely has a character and charisma.
There’s a right way of doing strong style. How many people has Gunther injured??
Also, old Bill’s just a mark for himself. If that’s what passes as character and charisma these days, I guess the bar’s sunk low
@@jackconorria4033 Gunther does not use
strong style in WWE, he is very limited in what he can do as all indy wrestlers in WWE have to lower their level so as not to hurt others or be injured.
It is undeniable that strong style caused many injuries in wrestlers.
and about Goldberg being a "Mark for himself" first of all, all the great wrestlers in history have a big ego, but that's what they are in real life, their characters are something else.
and yes, he has a character and presence,
not many wrestlers have that nowadays.
He had no character. No personality. The streak is all he had. Gillberg showed more personality and charisma than Billy Boy.
Sorry, dude. But it sounds like Bill just never figured out that wrestling is staged and scripted. It's fake! Just like how fake ass winning streak. I don't even watch Japanese pro-wrestling and the guy still reeks of Old, Entitled, Out Of Touch, White Dude syndrome. He just legitimately sounds like he had no enthusiasm or passion or even respect for the industry. Say what you will about Kevin Nash and Brock Lesnar. They have made it clear they wrestled for the money. But they still had a degree of enthusiasm and respect for their craft.
That's a lot of buzzwords, I think the IWC fried your brain.
So you don't think wrestlers should injure each other by using an overly aggressive style. But you're a huge Goldberg fan....who has one of THE most aggressive styles. And he absolutely loved Japan, because he could annihilate someone and they wouldn't complain. And you like and respect him for that love of injuring Japanese people without them complaining.
You sir, are a contradiction. Which is a very polite word for a hypocrite. And finding him sexy and attractive isn't an excuse for the mess you just wove.
Fack you Goldberg brushing Asuka off like that.
Scott Hall said it best about Asuka. She is more talented than Goldberg.
Her undefeated streak was well underway before they even thought about bringing back crybaby Bill. Sour Bill
What incredible stupid things this guy says..Asuka (great wrestler btw..different to him) the spear story🙄..he did not want to lose on his birthday 🤦♂️😂😂😂(bc that was the problem in that situation😂😂😂)...
Didn’t Triple H lose to Goldberg?? He also buried the mystique of Bray Wyatt(The Fiend). Also, that Asuka disrespect was next level. I hope Bill stays gone from WWE. Literally no one wants you back bud.
You mean the Jew is the biggest mark for himself?
Lol, racism is okay when it comes from your side, huh?
don’t say anything about being Jewish. you can talk about Goldberg but don’t bring Judaism into this. Disgusting
Cry more Oldberg. You almost killed the undertaker, buried The Fiend, and played Superman by beating Brock Lesnar 90 seconds so your son can see his hero at wrestle mania. After that wrestle mania match you decided to stay and keep depositing those fat checks.
Everybody talking about him bashing Asuka but no one left an time mark on here..
