Cost has definitely been a major barrier for me so I really appreciate this opportunity.
I was already a big fan of “Cracking the Code” and Troy, but this news is terrific. There are a lot of folks out there that can benefit from a scholarship and I hope they apply. I’ll keep paying full price and enjoying the courses!
This is unbelievable that you're doing this. 6 years ago I started playing guitar, and about 3 years in I discovered you while watching Ben Eller. I changed so much about my playstyle and I've gained a lot of insight into the mechanics of playing. I went to the site once outside of the discussions on youtube but always wanted more, I just couldn't afford it as a college student with a minimum wage job for 9 hours a week. Now here we are 3 years down the road, I'm a Software Engineer now and I still play; I even teach in my spare time, but I don't have the time to practice like I used to (6+ hours a day... seriously, PG and JP pretty much preached that in those classic lessons). I really wish that I could have known about this back then when I was starting college, it'd have changed so much about the struggles I went through with 2wps and economy picking.
Regardless, I love the content you make and you've been an unbelievable asset in the accessibility of guitar technique instruction and explanation. I may sound disappointed, but I'm not. Keep doing what you do man, its gonna help these new players as much as it helped me, I hope they use this opportunity like I know I would have.
Awesome! Thanks for supporting us. We try to return the favor whenever possible. BTW Ben is the best, of course.

Great job, greetings from Barcelona
Played for years and listened to guitarists since age 4.. your tutorials are the BEST I've ever scene and should be mandatory in music schools the world over.. excellent work Troy
Lynch, Yngwie, Nuno and Satch etc. are great players but not the greatest teachers... As there let's play it slow demonstrations are still all 32nd notes at only 500bpm instead of the usual 1000 😀
Such a pure act
Having the keys of the lambo thanks to you. Thank you too much!
Awesome !!!!
you are awesome
I have the technique and I have to regonize that your videos contributed to it. Now I want to enhance theory fellow. So if I can have the chance I would so blessed since I can not do it alone on videos compared to technique.
do you have lesson for shred starters
Troy yes I applied for the scholarship, you said I got it.. How do I get to the actual lessons? I saw the pickslanting primer, yes.. OK How do I get to the actual real lessons on how to play fast etc.? I saw episode 1 Rock To The Future.., is this part of the actual lessons? I am having a tough time finding the actual stuff, can you help me out? How do I see the real thing? Thanks. Should I apply from the beginning again, what to do?
Hi Troy... I've practicing guitar lessons for quite a time and realized that my weakness is to syncronize my right and left hand and set the position of my left thumb (behind the neck) everytime I change the chort, especially when I straching my fingers at the higher strings. Do you have an idea to solve this problem? It is really disturb me
I definitely suggest checking out the Cracking the Code Forum, we've got lots of good discussions here - try a search for e.g. "hand sync" or related terms and feel free to post a new question if you don't find what you're looking for! forum.troygrady.com/
I hope you consider me, I swear I will treasure it for what it is, the best in the world!
I tried to apply for the scholarship but it said there was an error, I have been suffering greatly from recent events and I’d really appreciate the help to take my guitar playing to the next level!
Please give it another try, maybe with a different browser, the form should be working! Shoot us an email if you're still getting errors
I don't suppose you trade toilet rolls for lessons? Kidding aside, amazing that you're doing this, thanks a lot.
