And the video on the supposed tactic of how Ukrainian forces took that much territory in a short period of time.
In my opinion, Russia is very large and it is very difficult to deploy troops on the border because it is too large. As for Ukraine, it attacks very suddenly. Does Ukraine's counterattack make Russia worried? No. Because in the first part, we will see that Russia has captured some parts of Krurs, which shows that Russia has the ability to add more troops to retake it. That's all.
Nope
Suggestion: on the big map you show at the very beginning, it would be cool if I could see the territory in Kursk that Ukraine currently occupies. maybe you don’t want to do it cause it will be temporary and you have no need to change it but I think it would be cool.
cheers! ❤
Imagine going back in time to 2022 and telling a Russian that in 2 years they’ll be celebrating their minor advances in Kursk
You need to update the territorial advances map. Sumy Oblast isn't shown.
I think Ukranian forces They will withdraw from their positions in 10 days or less. This all seems like a distraction, great mapping as always.
They wont withdraw even tough its the smartest decision they can make
They are building defence on the Russian old defensive lines
They might. I don't know what will happen. I think you are coping though. You are trying to manifest by speaking what you want to have happen, and not really laying out evidence and trying to figure out what will happen.
@@figerdron_8972 there was no defense lines. Everyone knows this.
@@alab3657 They were actually. At least Kursk administration spent 1.5 billion rubles for them
I wonder what Ukraine’s plan is, will they hold the land and use it as a bargaining chip?
Maybe a distraction? I’m no war expert though, so I’ve got no clue.
thats what they said
I've read somewhere they started entrenching.
This is at least what Selensky said so I guess.
I think that they have multiple layers of plans depending on how the enemy responds.
1) This will and has forced an operational pause in Russian operations in the South, which gives the Ukrainians some breathing space. Russia has only captured a few hundred square kilometers since October, but Ukraine needs time to bring up more manpower and rest existing units given that Russia's strategy for months now is just waves of canon fodder and cannon fire.
2) This is important propaganda victory for Ukraine as it shows that they still have an effective military capable of combined arms operations and maneuver. It's good for morale in Ukraine. It's good for showing the world that they aren't beaten. It's conversely bad for Russian morale as the morass they are in just keeps going and going and the losses just keep mounting.
3) If they find themselves in a position to hold on to say 1000 square kilometers of Russian territory, then it makes it impossible for Russia to pressure NATO to accept a status quo antebellum outcome to the war. Putin obviously wants out of this war on some terms that will allow him to retain power in Russia and has obviously wanted to say, "Let's just call it even." for some time now. But he really can't do that with Ukraine squatting on Russian soil, and he'd have to agree to some territorial exchange - which he can't do easily because he's stupidly locked himself into saying that all of like 4 or 5 Oblasts he doesn't completely control are Russian soil.
4) At the very least, if they can't hold the land they can take several hundred POWs which they can exchange for captured POWs and they've smashed quite a bit of Russian infrastructure while making Putin look bad again.
Russia got special military operated on 😂

@@UruSxs9я из Украïне
@@UruSxs9 According to the UN HCR, Russia is the #1 country with the most of Ukrainian refugees, overtaking Germany in 2023. And there are over 8 million Ukrainians living in areas "occupied" by Russia and none of them are revolting. So yeah, Russia has 9.2 million Ukrainians who either FLED TO RUSSIA or else are content living under Russian occupation (there are virtually zero partisan uprisings, other than occasional Ruthenian-Ukrainian special forces saboteurs, compared to WW2 when the German-Ruthenians occupied Soviet territories and faced widespread partisans. People need to stop calling Ukraine that name (it mean's "Russia's borderlands"), but Ukraine doesn't want to use it's OTHER name, Ruthenia because then it has to admit "Ukrainian" language is the Ruthenian language and that it has no claims to all of the Russian speaking lands (which are the 60% of Ukraine in the East). Even Zelensky himself couldn't speak Ruthenian ("Ukrainian") until after the war he started studying it, as MOST Ukrainians spoke Russian until the Azov German collaborator's grandsons all decided to ban Russian language and Russian Orthodox Church (largest church in Ukraine). It'd be like if a second Mexican-American war broke out and suddenly America banned the Catholic Church and banned all the Tejanos in Texas from speaking Spanish even though they've been loyal Texans for 200 years, it'd be pretty extreme to be so ethnonationalist as to ban your largest church and largest language. But that's what Ukraine has done.
There is a reason General Mark Milley said in a US congressional hearing that the people of Western Ukraine hated Russians and would fight them with pitchforks if they lacked US-provided weaponry because they are the "Sons and grandsons of the folks who fought Zhukov from 1945-1955", he only cited the years during which the O.S.S./US intel funded the UPA (Bandera's army) after America took over control of it from the SS officers Gehlen Organization, he should have said 1943 (didn't want to admit they were German collaborators) until 1962, the actual years it operated. Point is, America has been funding neon-zi's in Ukraine since 1945, with us ACTUALLY funding them as guerilla fighters from 1945-1955 (after which Kruschev convinced us in 1962 to totally drop them after the Cuban Missile Crisis though we'd already started cutting funding from 1955, and gave up after we failed to protect Bandera in 1959 during Operation Anyface).

This is basically the Ukrainian Battle of the Bulge. If you study history the similarities are simply amazing.
true
Germany invested its entire remaining strength into a hopeless but determined drive into the Ardennes. If 6,000 soldiers is Ukraine's entire remaining strength, they would have already surrendered or lost Kyiv.
@nicholashuggins8201 no, not really. The bulk of German forces was fighting on the Eastern front similary like the majority of Ukrainian forces are fighting in the Eastern Ukraine. For the Battle of Bulge Germany just used their last remaining reserves. The situation with Ukraine is pretty much the same.

There should be a map of Kursk. I'd not very clear
I am being very objective when i say this : If Ukraine's objectivenis to hold on these territories , then they are very stupid . As of right now they are already lacking monapower to defend the southern front and Russia has a lot of reserve to take back Kursk . It will cost Ukraine a lot of money and manpower to hold on these territories .
So they are probably just doing that to put pressure on Russia to accept a peace deal . They only took those land as trade points .
With all of those Russian reserves, with at least one Russian propagandist claiming there were 90.000 Russian soldiers on the border with Sumy, how is it possible for a small Ukrainian raiding force to liberate 350+ km² of territory in the People's Republic of Kursk? Why are those Russian troops not defending their border? Where are they?
@@jehandesains8674they surrendered in mass
@@Thanos-lo5xo 50 18-year-old conscripts, and those with whom videos have already appeared, how were they released?
Lol, Ukraine has more than 10 brigades full of man but without weapon and tanks. They clearly don't have problem with manpower. They recruit so many for future
That's just copium. Saying something you want to be true without really any supporting evidence is just hoping.
They are doing this not to put pressure on Russia to accept a peace deal, because they have no interest in a peace deal. They are doing this to make a peace deal unacceptable to the Russians so that they can't pressure NATO into accepting a peace deal Ukraine doesn't want. Ukraine's biggest worry is always losing military support from the west, and one way that happens is if Russia and NATO make a deal behind Ukraine's back and then NATO says to Ukraine "You have to accept this deal or we stop supporting you."

Ukraine definitely gave Russia a bloody nose here. This wasn’t just a simple border incursion. What’s most concerning is Russia’s response to the U.S. and NATO, who are obviously enabling this operation by providing ISR, target data, and strategic planning. Not to mention the equipment and training for it.
No one cares about Russia's response. What is there to say? That invasions are bad? It's unfair when Ukraine does it? Russians can keep crying. This is the war they started. Well, not so fun on own soil huh?
I remember that in the first phase of the Vietnam war, French control over the region was finally ended by a battle at Dienbienphu, a small place in northwest Vietnam. By this point (this was in 1954) the war between Vietnamese communist insurgents and French colonialists had been raging on for 9 years, but this small French loss was finally enough to break France's will to fight. At Dienbienphu, Vietnamese Communist losses were actually about twice what the French suffered, but the inability of 11,000 French soldiers to break Vietnamese resistance at the battle was a death blow. Later that year, France fully withdrew from Vietnam, leaving half to the Communists and half to South Vietnam. Later on in the early 60's, just before the USA officially got militarily involved, there was a very small battle at Ap Bac between Communist Vietcong insurgents and the South Vietnamese government. In this battle, the Communists lost 18 soldiers compared to about 70 South Vietnamese and a few Americans. This tiny clash was still enough to destroy all remaining South Vietnamese morale completely, and the victory motivated North Vietnam to begin officially attacking the South. In 1963, South Vietnam's unpopular president was removed in a US-backed coup, and an unstable military dictatorship propped up by the US took over. Ukraine could be doing something similar here- a small battle with relatively insignificant numbers, that becomes a huge victory. Ukraine might not need to dramatically force Russia back in the south, and maybe all they need to do is defeat the Russians in a few battles near Kursk. If Ukraine is lucky, that could be enough- maybe, like in South Vietnam, it will be enough to tear apart the Russian government.
@@azorahai7837 Russia's response within Russia is important. Will they collapse? Will they order a mass mobilization and rush seventy thousand barely-trained men to the front? Will they surrender? Will they actually do something effectively for the first time since the 1800s? All of these are plausible.

Is it fair to say Russia is "holding back" at least to a degree in this war? Obviously in terms of like nuclear weapons I know the answer's yes but what about reserves in their army? Could they be mobilizing more people/more of their economy for the war effort? It just feels like somewhat of a pitched battle, not to disrespect the horrific amount of suffering that's been taken on both sides.
They are most definitely holding back. If they were to declare it a full scale war, mobilize and send literally everything they have and create a WW2 style total war situation they'd steamroll Ukraine.... however the political ramifications would be absolutely bonkers. Like... potential WW3 levels of bonkers. They'd most definitely end up in wars with any and all Ukraine Allied nations (they aren't in NATO so that doesn't mean them and the U.S.A).
It's like the U.S.A not mobilizing 100 million men and going full on WW2 on Vietnam or the middle East. Sure we COULD.... but it isn't exactly smart to do so.
As a Russian, I will say that during the last mobilization we only mobilized people who had already been to war and had military experience, about 300,000 people in total. With full mobilization, Russia can mobilize 7-8 million people, if not more. The Red Army in World War II at its peak numbered 17 million people, with a population of 160 million people, in Russia there are now 150 million

Serious question. What have you been told about NATO that makes you hate it so much?
