    the concept and idea of making a mixer like this is great. small and light and can be flexable to adapt to laptop, ipad and mobile phone djing. however, i think they should have made a 4 channel or at least a 3 channel mixer

    This was one of the better gear reviews I’ve seen in a while! A lot better than the majority of the bigger channels that do these. Super honest and informative. Ordered mine the moment it was available, I can’t wait for shipping confirmation 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

      Wow, thanks! That means a lot. Obviously I am no pro in this unlike the new Mixtour;). Hope yours arrives soon. Overall this is a great device and lots of fun.

    UPDATE: they fixed the issue with the saved loop vs skip and the hot cue vs fx tool bar with the latest djay pro update. For anyone who is watching this after the update…just forget this ever happened 😅

      i'm taking credit for that, but your video definitely inspired me 😅. we're stuck with the paddles but it's not a deal-breaker. The controller is awesome!

  • @itsdjmiggy
    @itsdjmiggy Před měsícem +2

    I just got mine and the paddles do the same thing. weird. other than that, it feels premium and is well-built. It looks much better in person, I don't think any videos so far do it justice, it's very sleek! now to test it out and see if everything works. Thanks for the video!

      First of all thank you for your nice feedback. I just read your comment/answer on the Digital DJ Tips video. And yes…you are right. The pitch bend is moving forward when you actually bend backwards. I checked the mappings. It said „pitch bend-„. So this is very odd. Also it does not speed up after a while when you Keep it pressen down unlike in the actual „pitch +“ mode. I didn’t notice so far cause with this kind of controller manual pitch bending is not the first thing that comes to mind. But of course it should work when implemented. That being said I agree with you on everything else and hope you will have a great time with your Mxtr Pro.

      @@Lectrosoul they fixed it in the last update. I'll take the credit for it even if it wasn't me. I emailed them, sent them my own video of the same thing @vegandadbod7157 described, and they said they pushed out an update the following day. Regarding the paddles, they said they were not able to recreate the issue that me and OP have, so if we want it replaced we need to go through whomever we bought it from for a replacement. Since they're currently in high demand and still shipping, it's likely a replacement will be delayed. I can live with it. Reloop won't do anything unless there's enough noise, but I don't think enough units have arrived for people to start noticing.

      Sort of a missed opportunity for a pro device to have a couple of plasticy buttons and knobs on it. A shame really. Especially for the price. Still like it a lot though!

  • @JohnnyD-ho7qt
    @JohnnyD-ho7qt Před měsícem +4

    I get that Laidback Luke is supporting this, but this just looks like something for the novice/bedroom dj and nothing else. No SD support? No 4 channel direct support? I don’t like the two fader only deal they have going on this unit

    • @andytaylor125
      @andytaylor125 Před měsícem +1

      Definitely plenty of professional DJs where this could be a great backup solution to keep in your backpack ‘just in case’ and use larger controller/USBs with in-house CDJs as the main setup.
      Every other small controller I’ve seen is like $60-$200 and cheap build quality and low end sound quality.

      @Lectrosoul Před měsícem +1

      You are fully missing the point of this controller, how many times do you need to be told??
      You want 4 channels? buy a controller with 4 channels, plenty out there..
      why do you keep posting the same thing on all the Mixtour Pro vids??

      @@Lectrosoul lol - if you don’t like it fuck right off 😭. It’s true though, why did they limit themselves with two channels? If it’s a PRO model, should be 4. That’s the standard

    • @JohnnyD-ho7qt
      @JohnnyD-ho7qt Před měsícem +4

      @@Lectrosoulthis is the first of this comment I’m seeing so bare with me. The name PRO is supposed to be a pro model right? Then it should at least have four direct channels. If there was no need companies wouldn’t be manufacturing units with them. The unit itself looks gimmicky.

    • @Lectrosoul
      @Lectrosoul Před měsícem +1

      @@JohnnyD-ho7qt You are totally missing the point of this controller, and no,Pro does not mean it should have 4 channels, there are plenty of bigger units for that purpose... Im waiting for more long term reviews before jumping in, but for travelling quick setup, ease of use, utility, this looks perfect

    • @JohnnyD-ho7qt
      @JohnnyD-ho7qt Před měsícem +4

      @@Lectrosoulso what is the point of this controller? And why are you against this needing 3 or 4 direct channels? I wish the layout was something like the DJM 2000. More buttons for dedicated effect control, and other features. I’ve seen some reviews already and again - I don’t know what experienced dj would use this in a professional setting

    Thanks a bunch. It looks tiny but so appealing!
    This is NOT just a first impression! Actually this video is alot better than a “detailed review”. Way detailed given just 2 days of ownership, having digged deep and booted out the mapping flaws already. How did it pass quality tersting with both hardware and software falws like this???

      Thank you for your nice feedback. It means a lot. Obviously I am not a „pro“ reviewer of DJ gear. But since the Mixtour is out (at least a few) and the „usual suspects“ have not put out a review yet I thought I‘d share this. I stayed away from the basic functions since I thought this already has been covered by Laidback Luke.

  • @canedrive76
    @canedrive76 Před měsícem

    I hope every function doesn’t require double tapping on the buttons. Also, those ‘chromed’ paddles and knobs look cheap and nasty. Other than that, I love it. I had the mk1 Mixtour which I used a lot. Looking forward to this finally getting a release in the UK.

    • @vegandadbod7157
      @vegandadbod7157  Před měsícem

      No no, all the functions can be activated with a single tap. The double tap is only if you want to open the particular window in the software.

    Good review. I was on the fence with this, but it just seems like there are way more cons than positives here. I don’t think there is a mention of an SD card slot? I do wish this thing would be a bit wider. Like others have said: it looks like all the buttons are way to close to one another.

    • @vegandadbod7157
      @vegandadbod7157  Před měsícem +1

      First of all thank you for your kind feedback. And 2nd…I didn’t want to spoil the device for you. Overall it is exactly what it was announced for. If You look for something portable with more functions maybe check the Reloop Ready or the Reloop Buddy. I consider using one of them together with the Mixtour Pro which still would make a compact set up.

    • @itsdjmiggy
      @itsdjmiggy Před 18 dny

      why do you need an SD card slot? it's a midi controller not a standalone device, there's no need. Most professional controller don't have an SD slot because they control software, just like this one.

    • @bryanpereira53
      @bryanpereira53 Před 11 dny

      @@itsdjmiggy in my opinion, having an SD card slot would have allowed easier access to your music rather than downloading everything into your iPad (or even worse - iphone). I have a Dropbox with different folders and files all nearly organized and tagged, but I can’t access it through regular means on this device

    • @itsdjmiggy
      @itsdjmiggy Před 10 dny

      @@bryanpereira53 but this is a midi controller. There is no non-standalone DJ controller that has an SD slot, they’re not designed for that. Loading music on your phone is no different than loading a USB key using Rekordbox. Also, Djay on iOS and Mac integrate with Dropbox, you can absolutely add your dropbox files directly on the app. You can access your files by regular means.
