Lots of great digital suggestions Joe. Like yourself, I prefer reading them the old fashioned way, but I accept that digital is fine as well - preferably on a tablet.

Thanks. I get recommendations for older indie comics series that am told are good. I go straight to Hoopla and usually find them. No need to search and buy comics I want to read but don’t necessarily want to keep in my collection.

I’ve been reading online for years now. I completely understand the experience of holding a real comic book. But the ease and convenience of reading online makes it an easy choice for me.

Great video, Joe, and I appreciate the comment on digital being lower environmental impact. Since down-sizing to a smaller home, I went digital and found it easier to find and obtain tie-in issues of what I was reading.

Excellent Joe, when I subscribed to DC and Marvel online and used the code in several books to redeem my digital copies I was skeptical as well until I was on the train and was able to confidently read my books without damaging the physical copies.

I recently bought a hardback with what I thought was the complete collection of this series. But it wasn't, so being the last issue will cost £30 plus. I'm going digital. Very helpful and informative as usual Joe, cheers!

I’ve been using Hoopla, Marvel Unlimited and DC Infinite for a long time, but they’re still secondary to my pleasure in physical comics. The best thing about digital comics is they don’t fill up the house and annoy my wife!

Great video Joe! I’ve been an advocate for digital comics to help save money on the big 2. My regular reading for DC is now exclusively digital and many of the new x-men titles will be going the same way for me. I’m now trying to limit my physical copies to titles I either want to collect exclusively or things outside of the big 2 (haven’t found a service that makes sense for them to me but you’ve shown me a few good options). I would like to add Marvel has a few “unlimited” digital only titles I appreciate - especially the ones geared towards a younger audience as I’ve been showing them little by little to my son. I do only buy peach momoko in physical form - I feel like her style loses something in digital form. One last word of caution, my younger brother searched free Batman comics and found a Russian site that was less than reputable. Predictably his phone quickly became an expensive brick. Great video 🎉 I’ll be bookmarking this for future reference.

Great comment Phil. Like any website, when something is free, it is important to research it BEFORE using it. Thanks for the cautionary tale.

Keep this video away from the Brattons! 😸 I know people scoff at variant art or cover chasers but that is a legitimate reason that physical distribution "1-ups" the digital. Let's see you render a foil, chrome, die cut, hologram cover art with your iPad and let me see you mount it on your wall. Hah, i'd like to see you do that*!

haha Lhenny. That's why I still buy some paper comics, but the money grab for foil, chrome, die cut, hologram cover art is another reason I read most new comics digitally!.
