I spent my Christmas in Kota Kinabalu in the Borneo side of Malaysia and stayed with a resort that I wanted to visit for a very long time. Gaya Island Resort. And I had a fantastic time with them.
Gaya Island Resort may not be the newest resort with all the highest technology amenities. What's unique about them is their unparalleled service level. They treat every single guest as a VIP. They make us feel important. Almost all of the staff were able to greet us by our names during our stay. No matter what kind of request you have, the only word you will never hear is NO. This is how a 6star service should be.
We had a great time at Gaya Island Resort. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality from Catherine, the General manager, and her excellent team, which made our holiday memorable. I highly recommend this resort to everyone.

Absolutely stunning resort thank you very much for the video,, peace and happiness to you
Thank you so much for your encouraging comment. I am in Sipadan in Sabah Malaysia now. I’m staying in a very nice diving resort as well. I will post a video after the trip. So tuned. :)
behind of this Resort is my home.. heheehe😜
I went last week. Beautiful like u said.
Water is clear. I wish I can do snoring or diving but I cant swim well
Oh. It’s pity that you can swim. The water is nice there. :) maybe it’s time to learn how to swim. Lol
Great detailed review. Read that sunsets are beautiful here. Do the villas face the sunset?
Yes, the whole resort is facing west. So you can see the sunset when the weather is good. :)
@@affordableluxurytravelchannel awesome. Thanks for quick reply. :)
❤
@Santana Cooper what happent then
when the best time to visit, to avoid rain,?
that was my dad own town
Your dad is so lucky to grow up in such a beautiful place. :)
How expensive is it?
I don’t remember how much did it cost. We went during Christmas, so that was a bit more pricey. I remember their rate is quite reasonable in other days. You may check their website. :)
why some places charge more to foreigners than locals?
Unfortunately, many places in Malaysia do. Maybe the income level of local is not as high as foreigners.
@@affordableluxurytravelchannel I know no other country that charges foreigners more. That is discrimination. Not all of us are rich
What's the room number again? Please
818 and 820
@@affordableluxurytravelchannel How far are the away from the pool etc.?
@@danielagobel6741 It’s not that far away. It’s about 5mins walk or you can call a club car to bring you back.
@@affordableluxurytravelchannel great! Thank you!
