- First impressions and initial thoughts of my 2011 Harley Davidson V-ROD Muscle! This is the first non-sportbike I have ever owned so that is all I have to compare it to. They both have their purpose and I love them both for different reasons!

Nice review. You're right about the headlight - everyone goes with an LED upgrade. Also, you bike does have two trip odometers selected by pushing that rubber button underneath the speedometer. It also displays your gas range and a clock! Check it out. And yeah, you definitely do have to actively countersteer the Muscle with that 240 rear tire. Once you're leaned over though, it steers through the bends nicely. Welcome to the V-Rod community.
Just went into the garage and checked...you’re completely right. Thank you! I had no idea that button was there. Definitely gonna order an LED headlight ASAP. Any recommendations? Thanks again for watching!
@@FastLaneD I got my LED headlight from Ghost Rider Customs for around $160. Plug and play.
Mark out West I’ll check it out! Thank you
@mark. I’ve got some vrod content to bro! Fast lane D is killing it!!! 💪🏽
I remember when they started putting the LED lights on all the new cars, they really bothered me, but I seem to have adapted to them now.
I might get one for my own bike now that you mention it, a lot less drain on the battery
I like the v rod, then again I like most bikes, but most of my friends are either harley or sports bike fanatics, but I love them all and always had to have a sport bike and a souped up harley.
I suppose it would have made sense to just get one of these instead.
I know a lot of Harley heads don't like the look of them but I must admit to be honest I think they look great.
And great to ride too
Wow bro. These are the two bikes I'm trying to figure out to get, and you have both. Your blessed. All my friends tell me to go with the r1, but I know I would love the v rod going back and forth to work. I'm 6'5 and can't make up my mind 🤦🏾♂️.
Very blessed 🙌🏾 I'd sit on both and see which one you're more comfortable on! You honestly cant go wrong with either. It also depends on what type of riding you'll be doing.
Hey guys . Just making a comment about the Muscle. I am in the UK and I am on my 3rd Muscle. I have 2 other bikes. One being A ZZR 1400 performance sport and the other being a Honda CTX 1300. All 3 bikes are different and all 3 have their own special traits. The Muscle is a cool bike to ride and is a real head turner. I am only 5’4” tall and YES I do lean a little into the handle bars but I just nudge forward a bit on the seat and have no problems.
Anyone thinking of getting a muscle should test ride one first of course but you won’t be disappointed. Great machines with a Porsche derived water cooled engine. Ok it only has around 125 horses but bags of torque and bags of style on the street!
Go out and get yourself one!! 😁
Agreed! The torque is addicting and fun! People seem to love the sound and fat rear tire as well. It definitely gives the bike a unique character
I just bought one today 2014 with 7000 miles on it for 9000
It does have a trip A and trip B. You need to toggle through the digital readout.
Yeah click the black knob at the bottom of the speedo
Thanks for the helpful review 👍🏻 glad I found your channel just subscribed
Thank you!
LMAO I like how all these years later and no one mentioned your ass blowing through that stop sign.
Just bought a 2017 Vrod muscle yesterday
Bruh - love da V-Rod, what handlebars are shown? I want a more upright riding position.
Look up Fitzgerald Pipes for the V-Rod Muscle
Amen
I love your intro
thank you!
You can add a temperature gauge.
How?
I want a V-rod muscle so bad. Too bad they don’t make them anymore.
But I’m 6’4”. What are good cruisers for taller guys?
New or old.
You can definitely still find great deals on used ones! Since I am fairly new to cruisers, I can't make a proper recommendation, but I'd head down to your local HD dealership and sit on a few bikes to see what you'd like. The v-rod is definitely made for taller people though. It has a fairly aggressive seating position.
FXDR 114
Wait you've never ridden a bike without a temp gauge, well you have only owned newer bikes so that makes sense.
I JUST LOVE MY 2007 S.E .... V/R
Such a great bike! Sad Harley stopped making them
How much was the bike when it was new?
I love mine, I just hate is only 5 gears transmission.
Yeah it'd be awesome if they made them with a 6 speed!
@@FastLaneD trust the porsche engineers, they made a perfect blend of gearbox ratios according to engines power band .
What helmet is that?
What's his name now?
How tall are you and were you comfortable? I’m 6’2 football lineman build so wondering if It fit me
Lol commented to soon lol see your 6ft
6ft 230lbs with an athletic build...I've definitely sat on more comfortable bikes, but I wouldn't hesitate to take an out of state weekend trip on it. If you're looking for something to go across the country with there are probably some better options. Just depends on your needs!
FastLaneD thanks man 6’2 football lineman build. Would just be for commuting and fun. By comfortable you mean felt cramped?
I wouldn't let that stop you...if you can try finding a local dealership that has one and sit on it that'd be ideal. I think you'll be comfortable enough though
FastLaneD going this weekend. Thanks for replying man
Great video but dam your intro is long
Agreed...it may be time for a new one
THE MANILLAR IS NOT ORIGINAL DUDE, ANTERIOR OUNER CHANGE POR THAT SHIT
Sounds like a dirt bike.
