Pushpa: The Rise - Part 01 is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Sukumar. It stars Allu Arjun as the titular character alongside Fahadh Faasil (his Telugu debut), and Rashmika Mandanna while Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Raj Tirandasu, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Ajay and Ajay Ghosh play supporting roles. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media. The first of two cinematic parts, the film depicts the rise of a low wage laborer Pushpa Raj in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood, a rare wood that grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh state.

Ever since I was a kid I've loved making short films; I went to a high school where my field of study was filmmaking, and now I have my own business where I edit film and video footage for various businesses and companies.
While my passion for filmmaking is limitless, the number of movies I've watched is the opposite. I'm currently in my early twenties, and during my childhood and adolescence, I spent the majority of my time at school or playing video games. Sure, I watched a few movies here and there, but because those two occupied most of the day, I didn't watch nearly as many as I could have. But now that I've been out of school for a while and the video game portion of my life has been significantly reduced, I'd like to embark on a new adventure.
I'd like to invite you to accompany me on this adventure as I check out these masterpieces I've missed out on. I don't want to just watch these movies; I want to experience them. I'm saving memories and looking back on something I'm really passionate about by recording these reactions and I'd love for people like you to be a part of it so that we can share this experience together.

Genuine mistake but since ur reaction vid isnt in telugu it was weird since it was not original voice of the actors and also bcoz i have watched it in telugu...the accent in telugu which the lead actor spoke is very difficult to manage and is native to the region in which the story takes place ... so had to stop watching your reaction in the beginning itself

Bro it's not "telengu" it's "Telugu"
In this genre of Indian movies which is called masala action, it is a given that the hero and the main villain usually have some superhuman abilities. There is no explanation required for the public as it is more of like a filmmaking tradition specific to this genre of films. That's why even most of these films cast big action stars as it sells more tickets
India does make other kinds of films as well across genres and each film industry in India has their own style. The independent film circuit is also really great. I mean there are films where you get raw realism.
This is just one type of film. Think of it like the superhero genre of films. Since we don't have huge superheroes like marvel and DC, we have these larger than life action stars with their characters having superhuman strength.
This also is because of our filmmaking history as well. When US was making films like birth of a nation, broken blossoms back in 1910s by Griffith. India's dadasaheb phalke was making mythologicals during the same period in India. His first film and India's first film actually was made in 1913. Early silent era indian cinema had lot of mythologicals overtime they evolved and some part of it bled into some of the modern day genres of Indian cinema as well. Although the present day masala action movies have more influence from the masala genre of Indian filmmaking which emerged in the 1970s.

You cant see the same character he did in his other movies. Every character he did is unique. You cant see tha actor fahad fasil in his movies. You only see the character he plays in his movies. Mollywood film industry gives you more realistic movies. Just watch his movie.

Indian movies are lots of music numbers..... it's very rare to find non musical movie's......... India also have 12 film industries within India because of multiple languages......and due to which film industry competing themselves which indirectly benefit audience with good content movie's....❤❤

Probably not the best introduction... Because pushpa is a very regional film. You should have started with 3 idiots or RRR
Well, that means it can only get better from here then. So I say this was a pretty good start actually. And I really liked this one.

@@RohanKumaar Thank you, and yes I will mostly stick to my own schedule of films I have planned. This was actually recommended to me by my editor, who is Indian. But he also recommended I see RRR and Pathaan.
@@StajlzII The best bet while venturing in to Indian cinema is to go by directors and not by the actors. A good place to start would be to start with the most recent works of SS Rajamouli, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Raj Kumar Hirani, Shanker, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Sukumar etc.

oh shit not a very good introduction to Indian cinema for sure but anyways u saw it nothing we can do about it😅.But please let us help you with better movie choices from Indian cinema like "3idiots", If you like the highly stylized, over-the-top fight scenes of Pushpa then yeah "RRR" for sure, don't worry this won't have a cringy romantic angle but this one does have the bromance of the decade. But yeah I would like you to watch 3 idiots, well this movie is a classic masterpiece I think that would be enough for you to know about this movie. And trust me bratheeerr I am not hyping this up!!

Check it out for yourself and there is of course every genre and style of movie you'll find in bollywood. But I would suggest you watch recent post 2008 bollywood films. Regional language films in India are really cringe and weird and are smaller industries that just cater to their audiences. Pushpa is overhyped trash. You need to check out proper movies from India i.e Bollywood (hindi language) movies. I would recommend you start with "SHERSHAAH", "PADMAAVAT" and "GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI" 😊 Really hope you watch the right indian movies and are not steered into these regional language films, just cuz they are overhyped by their audiences

I don't know what hatred you have towards regional films in specific but the day bollywood makes a movie like AAMIS or HELLARO I'll jump from a 6 storey building. These are regional films.

@@Dharmadhurai_50 What comes to mind is the part when Pushpa wants to kiss Srivalli for the first time in that car scene and she starts crying. I get that its supposed to be funny and a cute moment, and I can see that too. It didn't make me enjoy the movie less. I still had a blast.
You have zero knowledge about regional cinema, Pushpa is from the same industry that made RRR which is the expensive Indian film ever made so it is not a poor industry. Bollywood has given so many movies that are beyond cringy that's why south Indian regional movies are ruling the north Indian theatres. The 3 movies you mentioned are boring, if you like realistic class movies watch mollywood movies.

Everything is fine but the wrong thing is you reacted to dubbed version in Tamil language(Kollywood) but originally it was made in Telugu language(Tollywood) hence the lip sync would not be proper with scenes.
So please do watch only in its respective original language.
This was given to me by my editor, who is Indian and recommended the film to me, so I assumed it was in the original language. However, I did notice that the movie was occasionally out of sync. That explains it. Sorry for this, and yes I do intend to watch in the original language in the future.
@@StajlzII Thankyou so much for looking into this, please inform your editor about different languages mainly 5 film industries (Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi) in India and can research initially about the original language of the film.

Don't worry, I actually enjoyed this film. This just means that it can only get better from here :) I have plans to watch RRR, 3 Idiots, and Pathaan in the future as well.

It doesn’t matter how over the top a movie is , if you enjoy it. Pls ignore ppl who call this movie a cringe. It is a “masala” genre and meant to be over the top and uncomfortable in some scenes to watch
