You have nothing to stop....For a year there is no reaction from Chris, some people somehow thought he moved on, or should move on....Well, now, he can move on. Chris is done, this was his response. Will stained his reputation of a perfect, well put together guy and revealed himself as a manipulated, frustrated, selfish and really hurt person with major inner issues. He chose the worst person, place and time to let that frustration out. Jada = poison.
Completely agree, he's basically implying this is somehow also Chris's fault. Which is not true. He did absolutely nothing wrong. Will Smith is a simp that made bad decisions with his love life and decided to take his frustration out on a guy that did nothing to him. What's worse is his apologies were not even genuine apologies to Chris.
@@coladapo3 I never said I was directly blaming her but now that you mention it, she cheated on him with her sons best friend and then further humiliated him by talking about it on TV , but it still comes back to his fault for letting it happen to begin with and not cutting her loose years ago. Sometimes there are some people that no longer deserve access to you based on their actions. They can both live their lives independently of each other. Will and Jada are toxic, nobody would blame him for never engaging with them again. Everything doesn't need a kumbaya moment.
I watched the whole show on Netflix and I could tell Chris was hurting, deeply hurting, especially the last ten minutes and that mic drop!! I could see him about to cry, yet he just enjoyed the whole audience clapping.
I wouldn't have watched it either way... just glad he said whatever he said. Hopefully we don't have to hear him or anybody else crying about it. He deserved more than a slap IMO. Fools like Chris Rock can't be reasoned with
"In the principals office"...That's exactly the way WS acted like. .a boy acting out. Being a bully and taking things out on someone he knew would not fight back. Because this was all about the Jada frustration. Instead of the principals office, WS went to the RED TABLE. The Humiliation transferred to Chris Rock. Rock is a class act and that was a wise decision - NETFLIX!!!
My question is Chris knew what was goin on so why antagonize the situation! Especially on Will's night but this is how it goes! Chris still one of my all time favorites even more so now. Moreover, Will is still a great person in my eye. Now let's move forward more aware.
Chris been bullying them on stage for years. He's not innocent worth a damn. Bullying comes in many forms. Chris been doing it verbally and Will did it physically. One is no better than the other. On Chris end...he made money. He had just started his tour and tickets wasn't selling. His tickets didn't start selling until....The Slap. Tickets started selling out adding on dates and that's because people thought he was going to talk about it. In which he didnt. People felt cheated. That was their fault. They suckered themselves. It’s time for Chris Rock to heal away from the public. If his next special consist of a similar topic or view of someone then he’s given Will Smith total control. There are 86,400 seconds in a day and he needs to find a way of validating his time and with whom to share that with.
I think it’s very good that he at last addressed about what happened it’s like, for him the last laugh ends with him and Will can’t do anything about it. It was like “ I waited for this in my own right time”

EXCELLENT COMMENT!! I AGREE 100%!
Bruh… you slapped me on tv in front of the world! Da uff you mean “we gotta stop this”???
Stop blaming the woman! Jada did not cause this. Shaming him and making fun of him caused this! No winners in this situation!😔
@@coladapo3 I never said I was directly blaming her but now that you mention it, she cheated on him with her sons best friend and then further humiliated him by talking about it on TV , but it still comes back to his fault for letting it happen to begin with and not cutting her loose years ago. Completely on then and not on Chris.
If my so called friend did that to me the friendship is over
Can't be in the same room with the guy ever again.
Katt Williams said it was a setup and Hollywood never does anything on TV if they didnt want it to be seen
People blow up and lose their cool all the time, but if it happens at work, especially an awards night, oh you're fired baby!

True, its hurt him.
Absolutely. Everyone has been hurt... humiliated and know it should be stopped...
Yes thats exactly how i see it. "Displaced ange"r taken out on the wrong person. Such a shame he's not putting it on the person causing the problems.
Fast forward year later....he gets a 30 Million Dollar deal with Netflix...because of....The Slap. And Only because of it because his standup is not that good. Movies are great...but not his standup.
@@darrenjones1691It’s easy for us to say let’s move on… Because “let’s“ -it did not happen to us. It’s just an unfortunate situation. This too will pass.

I agree with Marlon, he wouldn't be a true friend if he was just to sit back and let the Devil win. People act as though reconciliation is for the weak but when you are an adult you should be able to set the example of how mature relationships are founded and built even after the storm bridges can be rebuilt even though the nature of the relationship will be different and have changed.
No no .. there's no "we have to stop this" I wish people would stop telling others (that have had hands out on them) to get over it.. Not only was Chris disrespected and hurt, he was violated... Will can't come back from that.
Wayne is just being political. Slapping someone on such a world stage which his children will have to suffer through. So disrespectful
It’s time for Chris Rock to heal away from the public. If his next special consist of a similar topic or view of someone then he’s given Will Smith total control. There are 86,400 seconds in a day and he needs to find a way of validating his time and with whom to share that with.

Chris can speak about anything he wants to as long as he wants to without any intervention of any kind.
That is the most mature I've ever seen Marlin Wayans speak.
Chris had a right to " heal" by venting his anger and humiliation. Now, people want to weigh in on what he can and can not say, not fair. The slap was felt by so many seeing it. It was painful, a pain Chris suffered silently, for a year. We could at least vent.
Life is not an episodic TV show. Chris has no obligation, or reason, to forgive Will...ever. Some things are unforgivable.
Not true. Anything can be forgiven in life. Holding on does nothing but cause resentment. You can forgive and move on with difference. Forgiveness is freeing.
@@glendaivey6081 That's a nice idea, and for some it may be true. It is not true, nor does it need to be, for everyone.

I think Chris gave a warranted response to the situation after being quiet for a year. Not everyone would have been so controlled. He was hurt by it, I agree.
