  • We are taking a look at Justin's Initial D inspired second gen Toyota Celica GT Liftback! The second generation celica isn't necessarily known as the most eye catching of the series. But Justin sure managed to throw a wrench into that idea. He put a lot of effort into turning the clock back on this old Toyota. Speaking of which it has racked over 800,000 miles on the chassis!

I used to pretend mine was a Lancia Delta and I was a rally driver every gravelroad I could find was fair game for a “rally stage”. I actually think they designed it to look like a Lancia.

    Cool video.
I have a 1979 ra42l Celica Gt here in Wisconsin.
Thing I love about these cars is they were such a forgotten gen (ugly duckling lol) and not many around.
Because of that though I'm currently in the process of a 4 year total teardown diy garage build.
Nice job keeping one of these gems around.

Hanes manuals can fix any Celica. These cars are slow but fun and dependable. I had a 76, I still have my 92 Gt convert. 110k.

I would love to know how he did the Wiring because I have the same exact make and model car and I’m having issues with the wiring as well

Ran a whole separate circuit for it with a 2 switch system to energize the solenoid.

What a beautiful car man! I just got a silver one, looks like a delorian so I’m hoping to get the gull wing doors and complete the back to the future theme: funny enough though, my dream car is the 86 trueno, hopefully someday I’ll get my hands on it.

Image stabilization and lapel mic will get you a long way. Good start though.
