How about Matrix ?
anywhey..
Can you make a video about EAAs,please? They seem to be more popular than BCAAs right now, they contain all 9 amino acids;therefore,it is worth to buy it? .Thank you so much.

Buys Isolate because of the fear of lactose. Then proceeds in mixing in it with good ol' milk....
almond milk for the win
Yes, I am.
You know in this day and age there is a product called lactose free milk.Just thought I’d inform you incase the rock you’ve lived under hasn’t supplied that information
Why would you add it to milk??? Almond milk is even worse. They have horrible Macros for body building. Just add it to water and Ice and blend well. Your body will look much better!
Omg same
Dear lord, thank you for showing me the whey
You as welcome as on whey... 🙏
😂
Concentrate: 80% protein the rest is flavouring, milk sugars n fats
Isolate: 90% protein without fats & lactose
Is it true brother??pls replay
Concentrate has less than 80% protein and isolate contains 80%-90%
THANK YOU!!!! jeeze two lines, eight seconds to read and absorb them. YOU ROCK!
Well iso has carbs and fat. I think the flavoring makes up the carbs. I'm pretty damn sure protein powder use sweetener cuz they way to sweet and have almost no sugar but people never mention it
Isolate usually contains 84-88% protein, depending on flavor and brand
The whey u keep using these puns
Lol noicee
Do you know de whey

THE ANSWER ISN’T ‘IT DEPENDS’
I think you are more than capable of making an informed judgment about which whey supplement is best for you based off your own person...
#baised much?
Isolated is better, but a little bit more expensive.
@@jordanquiroz1657 whey?
Which is better? It depends... have a lactose issue? Need more protein and less fat? Isolate is better. Do neither of the above apply? Then it doesn't matter. So yes, it depends
If you monitor cholesterol choose the Isolate. Concentrate has 25% of your daily cholesterol allowance in one scoop. Isolate has more like 3%.
I like cholesterol
@@Xilladan093I like it too. Eat eggs.
I’m not lactose intolerant at all. I drink milk a lot and eat cheese no problem but when it comes to protein it always seems when I buy concentrate I get really bad protein farts so I made the switch to isolate and the problem seems to be alleviated
Exactly what I was wondering. Thank you

So how has it been so far bro?

answer has gone from "it depends" to "doesn't really matter" :) still love this channel though
conclusion: if you have more money, choose Isolate..
I'm managing type 2 diabetes with food journaling and using a "macro budget" to be mindful of carb intake (doc wanted me to watch overall carbs, not net carbs). I've been using whey protein isolate as way to get a protein boost in my macros and nothing else -- add it to some 2% Fairlife milk and a little of their chocolate milk for flavor (which seems to have a lower carb count to other lactose free milks), and it's become a significant macro balancer for me. 24g Isopure, 150 mL 2% Chocolate Fairlife, 350 mL 2% Regular Fairlife = 346 cals, 17g carbs, 47g protein, 10g fats. Tastes good, and along with mixing up other breakfast goodies depending on what I've got at hand (sometimes eggs, sometimes fruit, etc.) it seems to make for a solid start to the day. A year later with this strategy, doing much better.
"which WHEY you should lean"
Which whey you should lean to get lean
Whey use whey when you can s-whey
dont eat, it will naturally make you lean, give your food to needy, they benefit
Isolate

Man I SO love your videos. I've actually been recently looking into this topic and I'm stoked you covered it. Nobody else on here seems (imo) to be so unbiased. Thanks again
Thanks for watching my dude!
@@PictureFit !!!!!! So stoked you replied, and since you're here I'd love to share with you that since April I've gone from 300-223 (as of 10/14), 40% to 22% body fat. @@BrutalSnuggles Congrats on the results! And anytime, love to respond to messages like yours. See you around!
On a price/gram of protein basis, the difference in cost between isolate and concentrate is negligible. Then consider the amino acid profile of iso vs concentrate. Iso usually (always?) has a higher concentration of BCAAs than concentrate. Finally, consider the easier digestibility of isolate - I think isolate becomes a better choice than concentrate, from a muscle building perspective, at least.
Thanks man
Great breakdown! Thanks bro!
From my own research i have to agree with you, i also notice it's so smooth to drink and doesn't upset my stomach. I mix it with bone broth powder for bone health which is important for weight lifting.
Thanks man!
Bcaa has no effect though
Both are great, the isolate I use because I am extremely lactose but I do use both if I had to pick only one honestly I would use isolate for cutting, and concentrate for off season because I don’t count calories as much.
Yep. When I feel a bit heavy I'll get some isopure no carb isolate and do a month of that. Otherwise concentrate is fine.
Both in the same time so u get 2x more muscles
Guymadup hell yeah
I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not so is this true?
@@mk_4544 no.
@@mk_4544 It was a joke ;)
Oh yeah big brain time
I got both but I use mostly concentrate. I barely use isolate unless I need to down it fast without feeling bloated, as I find isolate is lighter.
usually I've been hearing contradicting answers on the topic of protein. People say to use isolate as part of my post workout shake with carbs. Will it be wrong if I used whey concentrate for my post workout drink instead of isolate? Does concentrate not absorb fast enough or something?
@@earlcoles5215 Isolate absorbs faster BUT concentrate absorbs fast enough, so the difference is really marginal. I like to use EAA's during my workout and then after i have my protein shake (concentrate) works just fine.
I didn't know this, thanks for yet another smashing video!
Whey Isolate all the way! Lactose mess with my stomach.
Yes sir👍
@all round knowledge i know thats why i said "Isolate all the way" ......
@@iJayiTalk DO U HAVE IBS ISSUE ?
Did you actually try concertante whey and you had symptoms? I'm lactose intolerant too and I've been using iso whey and wanted to try concertante but I'm afraid of the lactose.
@@DmxAng I have moved to isolate, concentrate just seems to sit in my stomach and make me lethargic for about 20 mins straight after consuming, isolate doesn't seem to have this issue (probably due to lactose although I don't have a confirmed intolerance I just don't like milk so barely get lactose in general so it seems to be the case)
I have no patience for lactose!
So when it comes to proteins, it's my whey or the highwhey.
Hey, I know your channel is kind of dead, but I'm glad that your video came up first and is still around when I was looking up this topic.
Honestly, I was waiting for "IT DEPENDS"
I loved the Whey u explained it in such a simpler manner.
I personally just mix 1 scoop of isolate and 1 scoop of concentrate in water
absolute chad
Thank you sir, from the beginning on helping us. And going into crazy detail. Keep up the good work. Thank you for your time and work.
My pleasure bud.
Concentrate keeps you fuller for longer time. It also taste better. I suggest it if trying to lose weight; I know, the opposite that everyone say lol
How about HYDRO Whey?
HYDRO awhey your wallet.

Hydro is insecure bony people. It's too damn clean, and more than double premium isolate price. And I heard it doesn't taste good
Very informative, thank you for putting this out there because if you just start out and want to take supplements, it is so overwhelming trying to just choose one to take since there are so many selections and options. This helped tremendously, thank you.
If Better Absorption, Less Gas and Lactose Management are for utmost benefit to you if you have absorption issues or gas issues or lactose issues with concentrate, then better to go with isolate.
Otherwise.
This extra carbs bit in Concentrate part, even if you have a couple of shakes a day, it is just a few grams of carbs and fat. If concentrate has lesser protein then have a bit more of it. the price of isolate is usually 2x concentrate. Concentrate seems to be the better buy.
"A bit of a premium" results in a 30-100% price tag difference, depending on the brand and their product lines.
I LITERALLY said to myself just this past weekend coming from a Supplement store that I have to research the different between the different types of Protein Powders, and you release a video. This isn't the first time something like this happened on this channel. The first time I laughed.... now I'm scared. lol
Why ask for video suggestions when I can just jump straight into your mind?
Isolate all day it's clean and easy on a stomach and g I tract
Yessir! 💯💯💪
What about digestion..? Concentrate is digested for few hours and isolate 20-30 min. Huge difference! Esp for someone with gastroenteral issues.
There is a difference if you are not a big eater or have a sensitive stomach. Isolate definitely is better for me. If you are good on digestive issues save money and get concentrate.
Which protein should I grab? Not sure… I want to gain weight and muscle so I’m leaning toward getting the extra calories in with the concentrate. Pls let me know if I should grab isolate or concentrate
@@marco7838 this is a year late but do concentrate, it has more fat
Concentrate is for the 70's bodybuilders.
I am an isolate type and I mix it with water or no lactose milk. Fast good results for me.

Which protein should I grab? Not sure… I want to gain weight and muscle so I’m leaning toward getting the extra calories in with the concentrate. Pls let me know if I should grab isolate or concentrate
Anecdotally it always seems to me that isolate mixes easier and more homogeneously in a liquid. Is this related?
Trevor Harrison I’ve experienced this too!
Hydrolysate mixes even better. Just 2 swirls with a spoon and its mixed.
Yes for me it does, less chunks and globs of unmixed powder. Makes my life little easier 🙂
it depends on what your trying to focus on, i’m young and an athlete and have been pretty fit all my life, when isolate is easily my go to, hits muscles quicker and more protein, better for building muscle in my opninion
Im saying sorry in advance
"Do u no de whey"
TDLW: If you're lactose intolerant/struggle with dairy/worried about dairy giving you acne then get Isolate
Otherwise, get Concentrate
Joseph Ong I’m not concerned about lactose or anything but why do you recommend concentrate
@@yess.6558 Isolate by definition is more processed than concentrate and is very hard to find any Isolate cold processed which minimizes denaturization
Antler Farms is the only Whey Isolate I know that cold processes it
Tera's Whey Organic is the best cold processed Concentrate
Both are also grass fed which gives way more benefits than typical commercial protein like Optimum Nutrition. They also use cleaner ingredients
isopure isolate protein powder is 100% protein, 25g for 100cal, how is concentrate which more calories per gram of protein in any way better for fat loss? it's not making sense in my head, is there any explanation?
The basic difference that i saw using both the product is isolate gives you highly toned muscle as compared to. Why concentrate but remeber go for purest isolate
I've always liked your content. Thank you so much for literally, every single video :)
Thanks!
Now my choice goes all the whey for whey conc! 😁
Isolate agrees with my stomach more and doesn't cause me to bloat, worth it imo
Agree
If I am a little on the heavy side I'll switch to an isolate(Isopure no carb). Otherwise I'll just get a good quality concentrate.
Isolate is quicker digesting more ideal drinking it with simple sugars after working out. Go look up why. But really only most useful for people on steroids. If youre not on steroids just a normal protein shake is fine but food works just aswell.
I know the answer IT DEPENDS 👍
Hey I’m a younger fan getting into fitness and was wondering if you can do a teen video
😍😍😍 finally someone who give us a good explanation of it !
0:50 "which 'whey' you should lean" hahahahaha!
Unless yur trying to compete I recommend it’s best to just go with whey concentrate especially if yur main focus is to build muscle, A it’s cheaper, B it will taste much better than isolate as it still has a bit of fats and sugar which makes it taste good with water
Which is better according to skin ? Means which will harm the skin more ?
Omg ty! Other youtubers waffle too much man! Nice and simple
Clear and informative, thank you!!
they don't remove all the lactose from isolate. But they do add lactase to it sometimes, so lactose-intolerant people can eat it.
Very informative bro...clears all my doubts...thanx
Even if someone could tolerate lactose, isn't isolate better because it doesn't have the inflammatory milk solids?
I train for 5 years now. I only buy CFM Isolate Whey, as CFM is a very high quality process with high end bioavailability and high protein content in the end product. I also look for a company that offers neutral taste. I do not like the thickness a concentrate shake brings with it.
You are dope always str8 to the point thanks man
Great content as always. I try to stay away from lactose though
Sounds good and thanks!
Isolate prduction coming usually from cross flow micro filtration witch is rhe best, I think is a reason to take the isolate protein...
I don’t know what that means
In short: Isolate Whey Protein is by far the healthiest choice. Higher concentration of BCAA's, lower % for daily cholesterol intake, WAY less sugars and fats, little to no lactose, less dairy struggles, easier digestibility, much more protein per scoop, overall a lighter supplement except where it counts! You really get what you pay for.
*This notification was just what i needed now*
Just a question. You talk about in a lot of videos about re-body composition and how you will talk about it in the future. Will a video about re-body composition actually come one day? :D Im really intressted in that topic you see :D
I always thought that whey isolate digested faster than whey concentrate, did anyone else think that or just me? 🤷🏻♂️
Yes
It’s not just you it does digest faster he forgot to mention that, also there is a whey protein called hydrolysate or “hydro whey” which apparently digests even faster than isolate
Both whey protein isolate and concentrate digest fast, there is not s huge difference on the digestion price between them .
Yes I heard this on a different youtube video and in the comments of that video as well
I think you're referring to casein protein
ive just entered the protein shake world thanks for all the info!!!!!!!!!! will be going hydrolyzed and isolate whey
Imo Isolate is the way to go unless it's too expensive in some countries and/or you don't need too much protein from your shake to fill your macros
As somebody who’s trying to bulk up and struggling to hit my calorie intake, is it worth taking mass gainers? They have more protein and it feels unnecessary buying isolates when I’m not at all trying to avoid calories
No, they're just worthless chemicals. You're better off eating McDonald's and pizza than mass gainers
JAME5 GAME5 but they’re cheap?
Id say check out Rule 1 mass gainer - I put on a lot of muscle mass after a couple months and helped me out a lot.
I only take whey isolate due to lactose intolerance. Yes, it is more costly :(
Did you actually try concertante whey and you had symptoms? I'm lactose intolerant too and I've been using iso whey and wanted to try concertante because it's cheaper but I'm afraid of the lactose.

Might be a stupid question but does whey protein in general contain all of the essential amino acids ? Most of the whey protein powders I’ve bought have never stated they contain and EAA’s, except for one brand I found from Whole Foods, of which I do not remember the name of.

I would argue that isolate is a little bit better if you're trying to not gain size and bulk. And concentrate is better if you're bulking and wanting to put on mass. Only a subtle difference but if you're a serious trainer and you buy a 5kg of whey and it's 80 percent protein then 500 grams of that is carbs and sugar. So worth noting.
If you're crunching the difference of 2g protein per day from protein shakes, then you better be a top class athlete.
@@PictureFit most definitely. The difference is very subtle. I only say this because I buy from a company called matrix nutrition who sell it he the 5kg tubs. And just thought over time half a kg of sugar and carbs is a lot. Love the videos bro
