I love them so much, and for the past few days I've been horribly nostalgic for them. And then I found this! Posted literally days ago! Thank you.
Thank you so much for leaving such a kind and lovely comment! I love these two very much, and it was a joy to revisit the show to make this vid. I remember watching these episodes as they aired back in the '90s when I was in high school...old fictional loves never die. They are Immortal, indeed, and deserve to be! Thanks very much for watching and enjoying this :)
I’ve always wondered what would have happened if at the end only Duncan and Connor McCloud, Ritchie, Methos, Cassandra and Amanda were left alive. Everyone else, including the Kurgan, had been beheaded. My guess is that the watcher’s would have had absolute job security.
That would mean they would had killed every evil immortal getting their Quickenings, memories and their evil influence, some or all of them would become like the Kurgan or Kronos, etc. plus new immortals would still be created, to me the Game is never meant to end anyway.
And if you found the number of views growing, its propably because i have been watching it in loops. :D Btw, have you written any fanfic with this ship, on AO3 or anywhere or do you have some tips for good ones?
I'm so delighted you're enjoying the vid enough to rewatch it! :) I wish I could share some fic recs, but I haven't really explored what's out there for this pairing. I loved the show when it originally aired but I'm just now revisiting it after 25 years, lol! But I'm sure there must be some lovely stuff on AO3 for them!
I think Methos leaving them broke the group in due time, Kronos was the leader because he was the strongest but Methos seemed like the brains of the operation and it wasn't just them 4 killing people across the known world, they were warlords and without Death they lacked the skills to keep their horde together leading them to go separate ways. There's a comic in which they try to recruit the Kurgan to fill Methos' spot but he refuses and they gang up on him, beat him but do not kill him since none of them had the power to beat him fairly so at least for a time they tried to recreate their old methods but failed.

They never should have killed Richie. And they never explained how the 4 horsemen broke up the first time, Only to meet up thousands of years later.
