Dimash, born May 1994, galaxy class vocalist, 6 ft. 3 in. tall, multi instrumentalist, composer, writer, actor, model, 7.7 octave range, sings all sorts of styles incorporating several styles in one song at times.
Very emotional singer, oftentimes singing songs based on true stories, so the back story needs to be seen too, which many of his videos have. Most of us found him when he competed in China 2017, The Singer contest for established Chinese singers as the youngest competitor, & only non-Chinese ever asked to compete. He couldn't win because he wasn't Chinese, but he exploded there with his first performance of SOS, as the first performance of that season.
Olimpico was performed for the European Games, & he does a live version on his Digital Show which he did during the pandemic. There it's not so dark, the band is shown, along with the backup singers too. The stage is outstanding!
Dimash graduated from the University of the Arts in piano, classical, modern and jazz singing, has a master's degree in composition, plays seven musical instruments and is currently completing his doctorate in musicology.
He began performing at a young age, singing and playing the piano. His first appearance on stage was at the age of two in a minor role in a local theater production.
At home Dimash took an interest in musical instruments, and his parents and his music teacher noticed that he had absolute pitch. At the age of five, he began to take piano and vocal lessons at the children’s studio of the local music college.
He first sang on stage the same year, at the age of five. At the age of six, in 2000, he won the national piano contest Aynalayin. 😀😀😀

Dimash is a 29-year-old Kasakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and is completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts, and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He was recently in Los Angeles, USA, working on new material from him that fans of his (he affectionately calls us "dears") are looking forward to. He is a kind, polite and compassionate person, proud of his culture and his country.
Dimash has blown my mind dozens and dozens of times over the past seven years. This is not an unusual performance for him, he does this every time he performs. He is not only an opera singer, he's a pop singer, an r n' b singer, a jazz singer, a folk singer----even a rapper. The diversity of his music is almost unbelievable.
I’m a 79 year old U.K. lady and I’m totally ‘Dimashed’ I’ve listened for a couple of hours every day from 2017 when I heard Dimash sing on a Chinese competition for professional singers. He was invited as a bit of a wild card. The audience fell for his performance of S O S and overnight became a favourite performer, needing body guards when he went out. There are over a hundred performances on you tube to keep you entertained. If you want opera, he can sing it, if you feel like a pop song you can dance to, he has that. If you feel like a Kazakh folk song with a rock edge, he can do it. So you can’t get bored. There are several complete concerts on you tube. I suggest Stranger from New Wave 2021 which is like a film score for a fantasy film. It’s in English, shows a few singing techniques and is epic,

There's no worries about his voice, he's been musically educated since the age of 5, has a bachelor's degree in vocals and a masters in composition. He does vocal practice for at least 3 hours daily and has a strict vocal regime but not all of his songs are like this, he will often release a couple of "ordinary" pop songs and then he'll throw one like this at us. 🤣

This song was written by Lilia Vinogradova and composed by Igor Krutoy. It premiered on June 21, 2019 at the opening ceremony of the 2019 European Olympic Games.

I'm so pleased that you checked Dimash out. Igor Krutoy (a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer) does not appear in this video, but he composed this song for Dimash who first performed it at the opening of the Second European Games. The lyrics are quite inspirational, exhorting the athletes (and everyone else) to strive for greater heights regardless of hardships and obstacles. The song is in Italian, but auto translate works pretty well on this particular video. Dimash is a singer and composer from Qazaqstan (Kazakhstan), has an over 7 octave range, and has sung in multiple languages in virtually every genre and in many different styles. He has degrees in classical and contemporary music, has a Masters in composition, and has or will soon earn his Ph.D. in musicology (i.e., the study of music). If you do another reaction of Dimash (and I hope you do), I'd suggest "Stranger" from Dimash's CZcams channel if you want to be blown away again. Word of warning, though, it gets blocked a lot so you may have to use a filter or make edits.
Thanks for the warning I try to not use filters. I have in the past, but I usually just appeal the decision and it goes up 48 hours afterwards. If it gets blocked a second time I'll add filters etc.

Igor wrote this song, with Dimash in mind. And you say his name like Dee-mosh (like a mosh pit). Dimash definitely went from baritone to soprano. As his highest note was a F6, which is the high notes in the Queen of the Night song. F6 means the note was a F and 6 is the octave scale on the piano. But Dimash can go both lower and higher.

Dimash Kudaibergen was honored with an awards at the “Victoria” Russian National Music Awards on 5th December 2019 as the “Singer of the Year in Classical Music” for his rendition of Olimpico. He competed with major classical music stars in Russia.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 or 16 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
Thank you for reacting to this exact version. It‘s from his Arnau concert in Kazakhstan in 2019. Here he sings in Italian. Dimash sang this song many times after this performance as well. But honestly, some things just don’t get any better. I think this is epic. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the video and every, really every time my heart starts to race and I get goosebumps. That facial expression after singing the high notes. He then completely captivates me🫣. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
Olimpico was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. In my opinion, Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅.
If you want to see another jaw-dropping song than I recommend Stranger. But you have to be careful with this video. It get's blocked a lot.

Here you can hear a large part of fhis vocal range, as well as an incredibly awesome Kazakh instrument. The Kobys. The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

I liked & subbed, I hope to see many more reactions to Dimash! His catalogue is so incredibly rich & varied, it's beyond belief! Every piece is totally unique, one more fantastic than the next; each seems to be the best, until you hear the others again. Occasionally he will perform a simpler more unassuming piece, but there's always something special. The styles & genres differ wildly, but Dimash's sublime & exquisite voice & incredible stage presence ties it all together. He has over 7 octaves & sounds perfectly fantastic in whatever register he is singing. He also has many performances in his native tongue, Kazakh, these are different from his other material, in that he usually doesn't go very low or very high, but they're always filled with extra emotion & power. He has sung in many languages. Dimash is also a great composer, and plays 7-8 instruments. He is THE artist of our time.

@Mike Macabre…..Accent the second syllable….Dee-MOSH. Maestro Igor composed the song specifically for Dimash to sing in the opening ceremony of The Second European Games in 2019. It’s in Italian. The lyrics are very powerful, encouraging the athletes to do their very best. Dimash’s high range is a pure soprano that’s better than most females. He often sang the soprano range as a youngster and as he went through puberty, his classical voice coach used to scold him for singing in that high range. He still was able to maintain that upper range even as his voice changed and his speaking voice lowered.

Oh my. What a voice! Have you ever seen Queen of the Damned movie. Jonathan Davis from Korn sang all the songs in the movie. Probabaly one of my fave movie soundtracks.
