- Finally got to see Rails of Sheffield. They have the most amazing Model Railway Display Cabinet area. Also an area with Retro Railway items and Star Wars plus loads of other retro items. The main shop is rammed full of everything you could think of to do with model railways . All of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely visit here again.

Wow. Those displays are stunning! Makes me want to build my own model railway.
I love this store. Been using Rails of Sheffield since 2005 and they have always given me a great service in the last 19 years of using them.

Fantastic looking shop, great people to deal with by e-mail via their app' and on the phone. A personal visit is definitely on my bucket list, once the Train Drivers stop sodding about messing up people's plans...

You are the reason why great shops like this are few and far between and in the long term cant survive. It costs money to offer great service and products that you can see and touch. Shame on you.
@@paulmoore120 When I first started to build my layout I got a lot of stuff from my local model shop. However, I was forced to transfer my allegiance to Hatton's when that closed. I have bought quite a lot of stuff from Rails, but other outlets are often cheaper.
Prices are generally inline with most other shops now but the one thing they don't offer is Free Shipping across the board above a certain value like several other shops do. They offer FS on the odd item but if you are spending even £125-£150 it should be included IMO
@@paredding I got my 4VEP from Kernow Model Centre. The same price as Rails, but free shipping!

never been to the shop but it's my first stop on ebay when I'm looking for anything for my n gauge.
They have a large room full of pre owned stuff too. I saw n gauge and 00 gauge stuff when I popped in. Definitely worth a visit if you’re ever near there. 😊
