The best part about watching the video is, my wife doesn't realize that I already listened to the episode at 4am in audio only. She thinks I am a genius, clearly I'm not. Hahaha😂😂
Clearly you are
DUDE I DO THE SAME THING!! I listen at work then come home play the CZcams on the tv and act like I’m hearing for the first time and nail every question!
Genius strategy 👌
@@andrewgrogan9767 Gotta miss one or two on purpose so it seems legit!
I'd be lying if I said I've never done the same. I missed one intentionally in case she was on to me.
Yes! Got listener question of the week on Steve’s episode hosting! I feel pretty lucky!
Steve you give away the answer "Arizona is a great place to draw and Elk tag" and still no one got it right! lol 🤣
The episode Steve hosts was guaranteed to be the longest trivia episode.
I looked straight to the length of the video 😂
He's definitely a rambler lol
Phil didn't even play the drop until 15:30.
Steve's lack of timing and hosting skills made this episode funny as hell. His transition into question 2 had me dying. It also made this episode very stressful to get through, lol.
Love that Steve gives the answer to the 48 state question and nobody gets it right. Made me laugh pretty good.
Janice Pewtiliss... 🤣🤣🤣
The way Steve gave the answer away is crazy. I will try that in the future.
And not a one of them got it right!
This is only gonna lead to trouble.
These episodes with different hosts have been fun, I'd love to see Clay Cal run one at some point in the future.
Clay would be fun.
This was one of my favorite episodes so far. Steve seemed like he was actually having fun.
Yep. I hate to say it honestly, but meateater is nothing without Steve. I still listen on the shows without him, but he takes everything to the next level. Just a truly unique character.
I lost it when the tidbit about what state number AZ was just turned out to be a grizzly news story that happened in the state
What a great episode, grinning the whole time. Some really good banter
The substitute teacher you don't want lol. You know it's going to be a tough day.
Are you kidding? "Mr. Rinella, tell us about elk hunting...please." You'd never get to any bookwork! Better than a movie day.
One of the best episodes to date!
Do an episode of just listener questions. Help Spencer get ahead haha
I don't know why I kept skipping these videos. Glad to see there are so many because I've been catching up fast over the last couple days.
Great show and and great people as always . Cheers MeatEater!
This is the best episode ever!! Good question
Loved the episode guys!
Love the audio fragment from No Country for Old Men
Best trivia yet
Love it 😀
Steve was completely unhinged with his tidbits and i absolutely loved it
Dude, when steve said arizona is a good place to draw a tag. Totally random… i laughed.. then next question i was like, holy shit he told em its arizona!
I was so proud of myself for catching that and no one else did! Made my night 😂
Great way to spend lunch hour. Great laughs. As much as Steve complains about Spencer, he would have racked up more than 14 complaints this round. Fun watch for sure
"nope, thats just something from arizona..." hahaha
Pure chaos the entire episode.
I'm mad that Steve gave the answer away on the one question because i would have gotten it if he didn't scare me off from it.
And not getting the bow company founder question right makes me mad because I had one for years but never heard of them otherwise.
I can’t believe I got four right. I live in the burbs (sadly), and I don’t hunt or fish (and rarely cook 😂) but I binge MeatEater, and try to help out with conservation. This was a great episode. They’re ALL great!
MeatEater needs a viewer trivia competition like jeopardy. Have regional competitions with randomly selected fans filmed via zoom or something. Move through the rounds for a grand prize. Tell me that wouldn't be the best way to advertise for the board game
These are so fun, I love havin a beer and trying to compete hahah I've only won one so far. usually lose miserably haha. The Bill Clinton tid bit was hilarious.
That logo is amazing!
Steve Rinella is out of his mind. 😂😂
And we love it
Love the trivia episodes! My only suggestion for CZcams is to switch the videos of the players for continuity When the host looks left he's currently looking at people in his right.
Shutout sir a I always watching your video.. from Philippines
Hi I’m a big fan of your show and I wanted to know if you could talk about the Catalina island mule deer issue and what your thoughts on it are.
Steve = best host
I agree, the only problem is he cant play
Just because Steve is stickler and needs to be right:
In WHICH month of the year, not WHAT. What is used for unlimited options, whereas which is used for answers with countable options- in this case the twelve months.
lol! Silly, but true!
Writer
Bert kreisher can definitely tell us his tour dates and locations
In regards to question one about eating them, although not the same, the Dugong in Australia is consumed by aboriginals still to this day.
Hunting and fishing day is opening day of duck here in ND
Bert kreischer knows all of his tour dates and where they're at by memory it's crazy
I can relate to the jello shot tidbit. I ate a whole thing g of jello before realizing I'd cooked off the alcohol
It’s appa latchin. As a man from these men’s it crucial to get it correct!
Yes stone mountain
Even though, I listened earlier today at work, I had to go to the video just to see the joy on the faces of the crew. How can I guy, that can handle a debate with skill, just absolutely botch a hosting gig? Randall said it at 41:46. At least Janis was on task and professional. Spencer is the man.
Springer mountain, Georgia to Baxter peak Mount katahdin, Maine
Steve knows stuff.
in my state we have possibly the most restrictive cable restraint regs, so I purchased some from a well known trapper supply co made to spec. I once caught a doe when she somehow hog tied her back legs jumping over the set. Missing all loops and safety's in the process. Growing up watching Steve Irwin I tossed my coat over her head to calm her before using my Irwin snips to free her. Special thanks to all the Irwins on that one.
For the fatal bear attack question, I think we need to bust Steve's chops a bit. Most fatal could be implied that out of ALL of the black bear attacks only x% were fatal. Same with grizzlies and polar bears. I would bet (without any sources to back myself up) that a polar bear, while having the least number of fatalities of the 73 is probably the most fatal when looking at polar bear attacks in general. Just somethin to consider. You guys keep up the good work!
Came looking for this - This is how I had interpreted it as well.
I feel like Steve reverse engineered these questions from snapple facts. Also, happy to hear Spencer volunteer to drink some pee.
This episode has my ADHD in bliss
Sometimes I feel like Steve and Phil remind me of Michael and Toby from the office.
Is Seth from clearfield county? I heard him mention Mosquito Creek Sportsman Club.
I think Steve pitched a good game after getting off to a bit of a shaky start, and quite the curve ball with that swing and miss in the 3rd.
Why does the live tour skip Wisconsin??
Would love to know if any one on the show has fished in Cancun Mexico during a family holiday with limited time and how was there success
The term silencer is correct, it's what was on the patent granted to Hiram Percy Maxim.
As someone who smokes weed, I love hunting and the outdoors. I think Steve needs to broaden his friend group a bit😅
Definitely! I think the argument is states with more outdoorsy people that Don’t hunt are more likely to be anti hunting. Happens to be a lot of people in CA and CO who are outdoorsy but not hunters.
I no longer need to wonder about what it's like to have a beer with Steve Rinella.
This was the best worst episode they've done 😂
Janis saying suppressors are allowed for hunting in 50 states when they’re not even legal to own in 7 is astonishing.
I feel like he had to have known it wasn't 50. I think he thought the number was up there but that would get him to be closest to the real number.
I smoke the weed and love the hunting. Just saying STEVE!
“Hunters are used to hidin in the bushes. So they don’t mind hidin in the bushes to smoke some weed” sounds like he’s with us lol
I wanna know what question Katie got right!
The mushroom 🍄 is amenita mascaria not sure on the spelling the christmas mushroom
Oh and my tid bit also comes with some conspiracy of the burning bush maybe how they saw the burning bush
Just sayin', most of the hunting guides I know, and myself included who is a hard-core hunting sumbitch, were all pretty happy to see legal weed 🤣. Helps with the knee pain on sheep hunts.
Davenport tid bit; chiropractic was invented here by a guy who also sold snake oil and practiced magnetic healing.
FDR first "sitting" president to fly.
Love tour > Eras tour
No offense to Steve, but that was the worst I've ever done on these trivia episodes. And I have his Meateater cookbook! Still love the hunting and recipes, liked the November week, especially the WI hunting, as its where I've hunted the most, up north its not always easy best of luck to Janis in 23'!
My name is Ricky Bobby, if you ain't first you're last.
I always listen to the podcast and never watch on CZcams ( except to see Derek Wolfe’s befuddlement when he didn’t understand the question I sent in) but I do like that I can come here and comment.
Anyways, this felt like an SNL skit about Meateater trivia. Where’s Burt Reynolds?
I’m beginning to believe that meat eater believes places like Philadelphia are the south they have only done two pieces of content in the south
Ummm you should know where Appalachian begins and ends. No brainer Ga to Me
Please stop messing with trivia. Spencer is the host. Keep it that way.
why not just have a 1 minute clock to answer???
Great idea, just need a wife.
Did Steve forget this is a hunting fishing show? His tidbits are way off from this theme
Toe biter
