  • These reels are extremely finicky. I cannot recommend them as they are not durable. The heat sink is too small on this real. It causes the reel overheat and malfunction.
This video is intended for the warranty company so I can get my warranty refund. I will not buy another banax real. I intend on buying a fishing 13 concept z reel.

I glad you posted that, I was looking At Banex but I guess you get what you pay for. I'll have to pick another brand if their stuff doesn't hold and you can get service out of them.

I'd look around at some other reviews. It's a pretty significant upgrade over the Daiwa Tanacom and anything else in this price range. If you want to catch swords- you need to spend a couple of thousand dollars. Otherwise, this is one of the best. Even this guy commented on someone else's comment that he's changed his mind and recommends this reel now.

Dont be a mug, banax elecs are up there with any of the others at a better price. The 1500tm is far superior to both the shimano and daiwa mj, just look at the direct comparison when frigate sales stripped all 3 and compared drags, gears etc. easy to google. I have 2 x 1500tm, 2 x 500tm, and 2 x 300c……never had a problem with any of the 6 reels

Do you have to do that sequence where you hit two buttons and select the line type every time you fish the reel?

Yes it programs line type/diameter and length and allows you to set zero. This is important for the auto stop feature.

Nothing wrong with Banax reels the small Banax reels are designed to target smaller fish species don't load them up with anymore than 30-50lb braid for bigger fish purchase a Banax Kaigen 1000
Treat them like a power assisted reel not a winch

I like them. I had one go bad on me and it was replaced under warranty. I fish them hard for what they are. 300feet deep, 2 lbs of weight, 20 hooks for sand dabs 1 35ah lipo4 battery from battery tender. I can bring up around 600 sand dabs in 4 hours. Idk why the first one failed, but I am now on year 3 with the other banax reel.
Good reel, good company, good service, good customer care.
      I reccomend this real!

Agree. We have 2 of the 1500tm , a 500tm and a couple of 300C. They have been awesome, drags are still smooth and zero problems at all on any of them. The title of this video makes them sound terrible, which is most unfair, especially when you see the insides compared to the other makes, as reviewed by frigate sales in the USA who sell hundreds of banax reels

Would the 1000 be suitable for trolling barracuda I use them for bait looking for a decent electric reel for that
