  • In this video, I am attempting to fix a Sonos Play:1 I had purchased from eBay that was being sold as not working, for parts or repair. This unit would connect, but there was no sound.

Edit: this video was my only video, and had royalty free music from Windows video editor, and it was claimed. So for now, it has no sound. Thanks Microsoft!
P.S. Sorry about the orange/yellow tint. Bad choice of theme.

I already had one speaker and someone gave me one that they said never worked. I searched the internet and read articles, did the resets, did the fixed IP on my router, tried hard wiring - but nothing worked, no sound still. I was about to give up and throw it away when I found YOUR VIDEO - it was the solution for my issue also! Figured I had nothing to lose if I messed it up but the speaker works now, the cable was unplugged just like yours. Thanks for uploading this!!!

I don't understand the dislikes tbh, i tried everything on sonos website including restarting, resetting, unplugging and keep pressing on buttons but nothing... In the end decided to buckle up and dismount it to find out that even my unit that I literally bought today at BestBuy had the connector at 22:29 unplugged and I seriously don't understand the reason for that. Not even to say that during transport it could have disconnected itself from the connector since it's one of those where you need to press to release it. Anyway im glad I found this video and I hope people that people like me find their resolution through this.

Hi, Thank you! I’m glad it helped and hopefully it will help others in the future. It was not meant as a tutorial, but rather just to see if I can fix the issue. This may be why it had so many dislikes.

@@sliseofrandom maybe try making it as a tutorial cutting parts and going straight to the dismount
