To all who think the comment about rescuing kittens was simply a sarcastic joke, Obituary's drummer runs a cat rescue and once ran out during a hurricane to rescue an injured kitten
Awesome dude, metalheads and rockstars who love cats are the best people.
What a legend
I listen to doom.death ,funeral etc... and love and have cats...black cats and so does my little family.
In all fairness, cats are fucking metal
I would gladly do that daily, a TESTAMENT to how good we are
Ian Watkins' own father once said,
"I brought you into this world. If I ever see you again, I will be sure to fix that mistake".
Harsh, but very much justified.
That's bullshit because his father died when he was five.
just started the video, but ngl i'm going to be disappointed if lostprophets is classified as 'metal' in this.
eta i see other comments mentioning similar things (re watkins), so i'm guessing it's more a 'crime in general music' theme. immediately not interested anymore. bummer.
really? source?
@@na-vn5qydon't know if you did click off or not, but it is all metal in some form or another with LostP***phile being an exception at the end. Pretty good video, I thought. You probably won't see this reply, now that its some 2 weeks later, but eh, worth mentioning
I had their 2003 CD, one that cheered me up back then. Had to throw it away cause it makes me throw up now.
Euronymous clearly fell on 23 conveniently placed knives
All it took is leaving one of his spiked bracers on the floor and later falling on top of it.
Or did he fall 23 times on the same knife? 🤔
@@bigredfella13 Plausible. Falling on top of it probably hurt like hell so no doubt he kept losing his balance from the pain and falling repeatedly.
@@MaaZeushmm, but to have fallen on a knife 23 times, 16 times on his back, now I hate to sound cruel, but that would actually be quite amusing to witness if it were to actually happen. The fact that Varg smiled at his sentence kinda gives the game away. Not that Oystein was a particularly nice person himself.
@@Nightopian1982 Oystein was douche. BUT, he wasn't a killer. In the Who's The Worst Person contest, Varg wins. But, Oystein still lives rent free in Varg's head, so it's something of a pyrrhic victory.
The officer who shot Dimebag's killer left the department afterward due to PTSD. I hope he is doing well and enjoying life.
He probably isn't if he quit due to PTSD
@@brandonharris9160 If he is around people with your negative attitude, I am sure he isn't.
@@starzkream Yeah you have obviously experienced PTSD. Fucking jackass
Dude got traumatized he had to kill a white guy
@@brandonharris9160 depends on how bad his PTSD is. if he left its probably not incredibly serious (as in school shooting/war serious). anyone with ptsd would leave things that remind you of your trama
I like when Varg said in an interview thay he didnt intend to kill Euronmouys but then explained how he drove 600 Km round trip to talk to him
I just have a hard time wrapping my head around why varg would lie. He got the harshest sentence possible in Norway and nothing he would say about what he did to euronymous would change his sentence.(good or bad)
To Pat's credit, if I had a flamethrower I would IMMEDIATELY want another.
I mean you can't have enough flamethrowers. It's a practical tool.
Flame throwers are like guitar pedals you only need one but always want more
Is your name Mac?
@@bmstyleeit really is. People these days really rave about air fryers, but they’ve clearly never had some flame-thrown pizza rolls before.
Exactly. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood proved how useful it is to have a flamethrower around the home.

The saddest day in metal. That literally ended my metal quest. I now play funk/jazz (I'm a drummer). Metal as a whole lost 50% of musical creativity with his passing in my opinion. Pantera broke the world of hair metal, yet managed to at the same time keep the genre intertwined with music. Now, all I hear is double bass, one note screaming, or a subconscious revert back to hair metal. A few bands have tried to fill their shoes, avenged sevenfold, Chevelle, etc, but while they are great bands they ALL miss the mark horribly. Yes, I expect backlash on this statement. However, I would imagine I'm a little older than most that will see this. In the early 90's, when we would get pumped up to go skate there was sepultura, morbid Angel, bolt thrower, coal chamber, gwar, tons of stuff, but NOONE could get the blood going like Pantera. Fucking Philip. Why do guys gotta be such dicks?
“Two flamethrowers because one just isn’t good enough.” OH MY GOD 😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂🤣😂
I laughed way to hard on that one lol.
Talking of church burning Dani Filth was asked if any churches were burned in England (where he's from) and he replied "No, our churches are made of stone"
Personally knew the victims in the Goatlord story. Went to their funeral. My wife was a childhood friend of Jennifer's. You've done a solid reenactment but that story is even more depraved and tragic then you've portrayed. It's a horrible story that sadly rivals the top spot. I imagine most of these could actually be #1 on the list so please don't think I'm complaining. They're all pretty awful for the victims. Your name calling on the perps was great and provided much needed levity.
That is truly awful man, sorry to hear that story is so personal for you

Pat's mental break is really sad, man... He is a truly great guitarist. It's good to know he is back to shredding on stage again, although I miss him in CC. He is my favourite guitarist in death metal.
It was an induced breakdown, hence the rehab sessions. Cant say what, but I can confirm it as I worked at the venue where the last show on that tour took place. He told my close friend what his plans were when the show ended. It didn't involve anything that did happen but ya know.... a bad batch can be problematic.
@@severeddeity8090 I have read he passed the drug tests cleanly shortly after the incident.
@@phantom213 Odd. My immediate guess was meth. Might've been bunk LSD from what severeddeity8090 said.
@@diabeticmonkey could be psychosis and self-medication with alcohol for years, for instance, then AA therapy and obligatory visits to a psychiatrist would make sense. I don't know what induced the psychosis in the first place and I don't want to speculate that this was necessarily drug-induced, because I have never read anywhere that he had problems with drugs (only that he used to drink), besides at the time, several sources close to the band implied that it was a mental problem. I just don't want to say that it was 100% drugs when it also could be not the case.
Chronic stimulant use can cause induced psychosis when people go for long periods without sleep. More commonly with meth. Sleep meds and sleep fix it pretty quick unless there are other underlying mental issues
Watkins is one of those people that will never see the outside of a jail, it will be because of, either, for his own safety as someone in the public will kill him, or someone will kill him in jail.
He's already dead in jail He just doesn't know it yet.

That opening so perfectly personified real metalheads I subbed immediately.
this is an accurate description as they also watch soap operas. ask margot robbie. she's a fan of slipknot and one time, she went to a show (and this was before she was super-famous) at a music festival in australia and all of these metal fans were like "hey, aren't you in 'neighbors'" robbie was like "you watch neighbors?" i think there is a valid reason why they watch soaps. i think they watch it as a way to chill out and have small talk with their moms.
@@thevoid99 I don't know about soap operas...my mom got me into NIN and Tool and she loved soaps, but most of the metalheads I knew growing up (and still) are really into horror. Two sides of the same coin, I guess.

They recently just tore down the Alarosa (where Dimebag was killed) I lived on the same road and not far from it for a long time. I remember seeing all the cops, ambulances and firetrucks. It was nuts.
What was really unsettling about that night, other than how cuckoo the asshole was, was how it was the 24th Anniversary of the night that John Lennon was shot by Mark David Chapman. Always gives me goosebumps thinking about it.
@@N7Infil95Even worse than that is the fact that the assholes original plan was to kill Dimebag and Vinnie in the exact same way John Lennon was killed, by pretending to ask for an autograph when they arrived and then shooting them but he was too late so he changed his plan into shooting them on stage instead
which made the one year anniversary of St. Dime's day almost ignored by all.. 25 years without Lennon overshadowed it HARD@@N7Infil95

I’m glad Watkins survived. He’s probably going to be in a lot of pain for a while and he’s now never going to stop looking over his shoulder paranoid about when his final moment will happen.
Hard to believe this video was 30 minutes long. It went really quickly and was good the whole time. I like the simple, matter of fact, approach as well as the dry humor mixed in.

Were it not for the Lost Prophets, I wouldn't have gotten into metal all those years later. It's truly awful how much of a monster Watkins is.
I had some suspicions about them from the start. It seems that the rest of the band got groomed into believing him and then woke up so formed No Devotion without him. People close to a perpetrator often can't see the wood for the trees until they distance themselves from him. His girlfriend found out and contacted the police who ignored her as he was a celebrity. South Wales Police are absolutely useless. They are chocolate police. They preferred to arrest her instead. Fortunately, the criminal court found her not guilty.
I was that 14 year old Lostprophets fan back in their early years. At a show my then-girlfriend left me and my peers with her other friend to get with some of the band members who had their way lol. I knew the band was off even back then. Didn’t think Ian would escalate to babies tho
@raregrimebeats1352 That meant those girls were under 16? I thought it was just Watkins being like that. I was too much into the Manic Street Preachers, Feeder, and the Automatic at the time to take much notice of them. The Lost Prophets hid behind their educated but misfit skater personas.

@@Thestoner5Good thing I never heard of them before the arrest on him. Can you separate the art and artist at that point? I don't know if I can. I sometimes have a hard time separating one of my favorite poets in Anne Sexton, having known about what she did to her own daughters when they were young and the stuff she put them through. But you have to wonder what did actually happen to Ian to make him end up that way. I can tell you from having met pedos in real life, a few times, they are not what you might think about them looking like but then they give off really not good vibes and child predator vibes.
I have a hunch that his parents either knew something happened and chose to ignore it, since we know that a lot of child molesters were molested when they were kids themselves and the cycle repeats, OR they didn't really know anything about his obsession with f***ing kids and didn't know where it started.
@@zaynes5094 The thing about Watkins is that he was really open and weird about it. His laptop password was something like “haha I ‘blank’ kids.” And when asked why he did the things he did, he said it was ‘for the lolz.’ Fans would say he was always surrounded backstage by young girls and they always got a weird vibe, like something wasn’t quite right. Like people knew but weren’t saying anything. I hope the people close to him just didn’t know. The rest of the band says they had no idea, and if they had found out they would’ve ended him themselves. I hope that’s true.
I went back to try to listen to a song of theirs and I just couldn’t stomach it. I try to separate the art from the artist to some extent but there’s a line.
Luckily I don’t know them- I’ve heard of them tho but yeah I would stop listening to them-

okay but for real i found out that my cat Czarina (RIP) of 17 years had bone cancer last week. the only options were to remove her lower jaw (FUCK THAT.) or put her down. i did the right thing and it was very, very hard. a few days later, a cute little stray showed up on my front porch. i took her to get spayed and to have a rat bite on the side of her face treated. she's doing great! the vet said she is about one and a half years old. she is one of the sweetest lap kitties i have ever met. she also does not mind blast beats and even Tom Barber's absolutely ridiculous vocal skills. she sat in my lap all evening yesterday while i blew Nazis to shit in Wolfenstein. so i rescued a kitty. i also held the door at my barber shop open for multiple elderly men and women in the last week. all while wearing a Hatebreed shirt one day, a Slaughter to Prevail shirt the next, and a Knocked Loose shirt today. this video intro was absolute facts. 😂🤘

As a long standing member of the Dallas/Ft Worth music community, I can tell you that Dime was a class act. There's not a person you meet on the scene who doesn't have some cool story about Dime or Vinnie and even though its been years since Vin passed and even longer since Dime's murder, they are still immortalized and revered all over. No matter how big they got, they never forgot about their home scene and up until their deaths, were always just a couple of local boys.

Pat's breakdown is something people laugh at, but honestly for me its super sad. He is a well respected guitarist in the death metal scene and seeing him like that breaks even the most brutal death metal fans heart.
Dimebag is something I always think about when these kinds of topic comes up. The guitar solo to Hard lines sunken cheeks has personally become the saddest solo he have created since on the ending of the Pantera home video number 3 (3 to go), the solo plays in the background while the text more to come is on the screen, written by dimebag himself. And we all know, there would never be more since a couple of years later he sadly got his life stolen by a psychopathic madman.

James was confronted about this in an interview, and he said it's because they were growing as musicians and wanted to expand their horizons (not verbatim). Bullshit. They sold out. If you had been there and seen the posters you'd know what I'm talking about. S&m was cool, lars earned some respect back on battery but screw Metallica. James only downpicled like that because he wasn't a good enough guitarist to alternate pick, and their bassist just sucks- so bad that I just forgot his name!!!! Ha! I heard a live recording the other day where James calls him out for a bass "solo". EVEN MY KIDS WERE CRINGING! It was like he said: hey bassist guy over there, why don't you play a major scale in eighth notes for all the kiddies in the audience? I'm pretty sure he actually had a music stand in front of him with some music from his 5th grade music class to play for them when James called him out to demonstrate his mad skills.
Ian forever ruined my enjoyment of lost prophets music. Come back to them every now and then but i'll be honest every time I hear rooftops I still get flashbacks to that Jeff Hardy video package wwe did and I sing it every time. Also ian forever ruined the name lost prophets. The musicians are still in the music scene and actually make music together under a different name obviously. But don't ever expect them to start up the prophets again with a new singer. Sucks because they were one my favorite bands too.
Huh, Lostprophets' music is what ruined my enjoyment of Lostprophets' music. Ian is a horrible person though.
Jaimie is not in music any more. 5 artists deserve our support n love so I still play LP for them. I knew IW and there's alot the public aren't aware of. He doesn't deserve to live after what he did but he's a pawn in a sick game of child abuse with Elites covering their asses n using him and others as a scapegoat. He is dangerous and I hope he's suffering yet his ego is still a huge problem. How any one can brag about being a rock star after what he did with others to babies defies human decency.
Studies show that metal is enjoyed by intelligent people that understand and prefer complexity…I find it soothing 🤘🏼
There's a wrought iron fence around the Abbott family plot now. They're buried next to their mother.
The mixing on "...And Justice For All" should be included in the 12 "WORST CRIMES In Metal"
Still miss Dime 🤘
CFHFL STRONGER THAN ALL GETCHA PULL
People still talking about Varg killing Euronymous and the church burning but I hardly ever hear Absurd mentioned anymore. Hendrik Möbus' story, probably the most prolific member, is a bit similar to Varg's story.
In 1993, at 17 years old, the three members of this German NSBM band killed a 13 year old boy. It earned the band a cult status. At some point a picture of their victim's grave was used for cover art. They were convicted for the murder but paroled in 1998 because they were minors themselves.
Hendrik Möbus almost immediately violated his parole by giving the nazi salute in public and together with his brother Ronald "Wolf" Möbus he posed with Nazi banners in the gas chambers of Auschwitz. When they revoked his parole, Möbius fled to America and got involved with white supremacists and more of that sad shit.
Holy crap...
Never going to even pirate Absurd, then. Varg's still a piece of garbage, but everyone likes to take a shot at him. I've never heard anyone condemn what Möbus had done.

Calm down SJW piece of garbage.
This shit makes what varg did look like a Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis. WTF
Im sorry i cant help but laugh at the ABSURDity😅. Story sounds like AxCx lyrics.
Probably because it's too wrap in Nazis and racisn. Varg I don't think became obsessively racist or nazi until later.
What about Hendrik Mobus of the NSBM band Absurd? Mobus spent time in prison for murdering a classmate along with some accomplices.
Was looking for this comment. Additionally the members of Absurd are roaming free, have no remorse for their victim, even ridiculed him in songs and interviews and continue to be Nazi-shitheads playing bad NSBM.
BROTHERS, GET THE WOODCHIPPER!!
He did not just murder him, he and his two other bandmates tortured their victim to death. Then they took photos of his bones and used it as an album cover. Besides that he is also a nazi who hasn't changed his opinions ever since.
I subbed the other day, mainly due to your commentary for this particular video. I sincerely thank you for making my soul smile on such remarks as "Joe Fuckhead" and how "he should have been swallowed instead." Exploring your other videos, awesome stuff man! My style, my type of metal. Thank you.
Burzum is the only band I like whose music I have no problem with stealing so I don't have to give Varg any of my money either directly or indirectly.
Rip Dimebag
KFC's biggest customer got me🤣

When you see another metal fan in public

@@Mahina-Kekoa that has to be the funniest sounding thing. i gotta go find that later. thanks for telling me about it
Two flamethrowers?!? Was Pat O'Brien expecting an attack on his house by the Thing? That's a hell of an arsenal that he had.
You absolutely forgot to mention one of my favorite boys-Jon Nodtveidt of the Swedish black and death metal scene, frontman of the band Dissection. Short bio: released a killer album in the 90s, whacked a dude, did time, released a second, even more awesome album in 2006, shot himself! Good man! 🎉😂 Their music is awesome-seriously!
The creation of "Lulu" should take the top spot.
Not only is album cover weird af but the music was even worse😂
Jesus😂
Totally agree😂😂😂
The way this guy talks about the subjects of this video should be the standard for all murderers.
Good shit. I’ve heard some of these stories separately. Thoroughly enjoyed the content and especially the commentary 😂 spot on.
About Jean Pascal Fournier. On January 24th 2024 he was sentenced to 30 years. He has appealed. Side note, chatgpt couldn't find it but Bard could.
Wild theory: Vargs smile into the camera had a huge impact on his perception nowadays
