    10/10 for the security guard…..lovely guy. Rihanna handled the situation really well too. Even if you don’t want to invite people on there’s a professional way to handle things. Ian just got caught in the headlights and lost his cool.

    • @roblarrikin
      @roblarrikin Před 2 lety +15

      The guard was okay, though he did direct them to call a number that didn't answer. Rihanna was an unimaginative Karen, too busy talking guff to listen. The pot-bellied wharfie Ian should work as a bouncer, and the 2-dimensional cardboard cut-out on the right was a waste of space. These people deserve no praise, and if this is how they handle auditors, don't use their product.

All of them need to get up to speed in dealing with Public Auditors. On a good note the surrounding site was quite clean and tidy compared to other sites. Despite an adjacent factory having solar panels Futaba did not take advantage of that system. Both auditors 10/10 , well done boys !!!!

    Great audit - the security guard was brilliant (was he once interviewed by the BBC ?) - smart and polite. Alan Shearer (Ian) was well out of his league and I wish him well on his programme. The plant manager (Rihanna) had very good people skills (patronising alert at 13:48 !) the Managing Director (Kevin) did an excellent job of paying homage the 1990's - I think at once point he even speaks. DJ offers excellent advice at 14:16 about social media which is dismissed by the plant manager. She goes on to imply they have their own social media people - which is worrying ! Her condescending tone suggests they dismissed a golden opportunity that was knocking at their door. DJ and PJ work flawlessly together. Excellent.

The problem is words these days can make a difference between a company flourishing and going bust. Remember Gerald Rather who single handed lay destroyed his own company by saying that the Decanter set that sold for £49, I think it was, was c..p. That destroyed his company, he said it as a joke. Be careful what you say on camera. Good interaction in the end though. Keep up the vids together, always get it with you two together.

    One thing the people at Futaba could learn about social media is that coming across in a negative light reflects badly on the company. But also refusing to say anything and being obstructive is also negative. It's not all about word salads and promoting the latest work campaign. It's also about being human and friendly. As proven by some of the videos DJ & PJ have done where the people have been open, communicative, and friendly which gets loads of positive comments. And comments means people have watched and that means good publicity.

    Hi D J, this man at the gate was behaving very well, he was obviously constrained by the instructions he had been given, the fact that those instructions were no good was not his fault, he did then go and get his own phone and call someone and he got through to someone, sadly to junior to actually deal with it.
    The encounter with the first man was very much as it should be and I think he gets a pass. Sadly Ian rocks up and spoils it all, then Karen rocks up and does at least ask questions before giving orders but she was wrong to say that Ian was alright, he was not he was rude and unpleasant from the start.
    Yet again you do your best to explain what you are doing and what you want to do and what rights you do have, they do struggle with the rules they are trying to deploy being not legally enforceable.
    This lot were by no means as unpleasant as you often find but standing there like that did look a bit intimidating, it looks to me as if your kindness and consideration eased things a lot.

    Futaba Corporation seems a bit nasty and evil, but that is their right.

    15:30 Futaba have their own way of handling social media. And that is to only promote positive news about the company and bury bad news. DJ & PJ do not want to have their content controlled by any company, they want to make their videos the way they want.

    No corporation wants the public knowing what they really do Thing is you don't really need a camera to find out The only required tool is critical thought Cheers DJ n PJ
