- Another episode of the classic maths programme, presented by Fred Harris and Mary Waterhouse from their sort of maths-dungeon. Includes the Mad Mathematician and the King (apparently of Yorkshire), the usual hypnotic dream sequence animations, a tutorial on counting in base five from Videlectrix, and a Marx Brothers-type routine at the start which might be the most impressive thing I've seen all week.
"One-tea-two?!!" it's TWELVE!
@TributeToThePast Great video all the same. I really liked the animated abacus sequences like in this video counting in base 5. I remember the abacus counting in binary (Base 2) and decimal (base 10) in a couple of other episodes. If you do happen to find any more Junior Maths shows please upload them! Thanks!
@Diamondblade2008 I know, I never worked out why they did that either (they say 'two-ty' and 'three-ty' for 20 and 30) - for a maths programme, I'd have thought getting the names of the numbers right would be top priority.
1:39 to 2:26 beautifully done!
Always good to see more junior maths :)
Was this the show with the marching squares seqence?? please help! It had the sound of a marching army whistling in tune and then the Sargent shouts and they all shuffle back.. Anyone remember????
+Pots7T5 I was looking for the episode where Fred gets lost in a Maze
Pots7T5 Yes, definitely the same programme!
I've been trying to find that in vain on YT for years!
Hopefully he's still there.
