    I never thought of ordering the cheese plate with the bread. Great idea! Thank you.

    For the most part, veteran cruisers have realized that the glory days of fine dining and impeccable services have weighed the anchor and sailed beyond the horizon into the sunset. The present offerings are not worth the prices especially when the cost of getting to the cruise and back home is included.

    Your videos are so helpful. Because of health issues I not only avoid eating a lot of sugar and other carbs, I try not to overeat on anything. Other family members have other restrictions. We have never been on a cruise that did not have food we enjoyed. We frequently order something off the kids menu or make a meal of just appetizers. None of us has ever left the table hungry.
    RCCL has a place with a really good gluten-free pizza made to order. When we hit food overload we order fruit and cheese from room service or pick some up at the buffet, maybe with some cold meats, get made to order pizzas, and enjoy a light supper on deck or on our balcony.
    So far Disney and Royal are tied for best food since each has areas in which they excel. Doing our first Princess cruise in April.

    I think you mentioned on a previous video to look for a "specialty" restaurant on embarkation day for lunch and it definitely paid off. We went on a cruise 2 weeks ago and had a quiet, laid-back 1st meal of our cruise. Thanks for the great suggestion.

    I didn't know that about the steak house on the first day..what cruise ship or cruise company did that for you I wonder. I'm hoping it's one of the ones I'm going on soon. Lol NCL? Royal Caribbean?? 😅 Good tips,.especially tea time..I didn't know that I've never sailed yet before and being Russian/ Ukrainian we live for our teas rain or shine haha 😊

    If you have a food allergy, let your cruise line know before you go, and they will make a special menu for you to order off. And a lot of the time, they will give you the menu one day in advance.

    Alissa, my husband and I are taking our first cruise on RC in December and we both use a CPAP machine. I plan to buy a case of water to drink, but do you happen to know if the cruise line will provide any bottled water for CPAP machines?

    • @howardosden3112
      @howardosden3112 Před rokem +1

      They will; just notify guest relations. They'll also provide an extension cord if you need one, which you probably will. Both my wife and I use CPAP machines, and they won't allow you to bring on your own distilled water.

    RCL was very disappointing on my last cruise in Feb! We were not allowed to order more than 1 item in dining room! If you wanted something else, you had to finish the first dish! Very childish in my opinion!! Also no more cheese plates on new menus!

    Can you flavored coffee creamer on NCL with you, I sail on the Escape in December and I like flavored creamer. Also can you order coffee to your room

    • @whoooami2090
      @whoooami2090 Před rokem +1

      I believe the cabin has a coffee maker. Anyway, the balcony cabins do. I’d just contact the cruise line and see if you can bring your own. I’d do the individual little coffee mate or delight creamers since those don’t have to have refrigeration. The larger bottles of coffee mate need to be refrigerated. Then there’s the powdered stuff, yuck.

    • @melodeemalone9346
      @melodeemalone9346 Před rokem

      I recently took the individual flavored coffee creamers on a Princess cruise. No issues because they don't need to be refrigerated.

    I know you’ve been on many different cruise lines-do all the main ones (Royal, NCL, Princess-I know Carnival does)-let you carry on a 12 pack of sodas and a bottle of wine per person?

    • @HighSeasHowes
      @HighSeasHowes Před rokem

      MSC does not

    • @EECCTravels
      @EECCTravels  Před rokem +1

      Yes, all that we have been on allow it. You will be charged a corkage fee of $15 on NCL but if you opt in for the drink package with the Free at Sea you won't need it.

    Thank you for posting this video. I will be taking my first cruise in Sept. I asked about ordering a second dish in specialty restaurants and people were just so unkind. One woman even posted a pic of a pig. I can't believe how rude, Ill mannered and cruel these cruise pages are. It has really turned me off from cruising.
