As a Bulgarian, I find this video very heart-warming. All reactions were different. The Swedish guy was more direct, the Russian girl definitely did a bit more of research. Hope more Bulgarians see this video and learn to appreciate what we have as a country instead of the daily negative, passive complaints.

I lived now a third of my life in Bulgaria (i'm 42) and that is not gonna change anymore. There are quite a few negative things here, but the positive sides outweigh rhem by far. I Thnik its even safe to say, bulgaria wouldn't be the same without its imperfections. Hoiwever, I really hope they manage to get the corruption out of their goverment soon, because its not OK that people suffer from that.

Garet if you now have a Bulgarian citizenship, I will personally recommend you to our politicians for a Minister of Tourism, all of them have failed tremendously on how to brand the country as a tourist destination. They have all focused on the idea of cheap place for the Summer beaches primarily Sunny beach and Bansko for the winter. However, they ignored the fact that Greece and Turkey cannot compete with Bulgaria on Green Ecological Tourism. Such as ecopath tourism, ecological cave exploration and many more that cannot come on my mind but apperently our country can offer foreigners stuff that are interesting for them that cannot be found in other countries. I watched recently their debates about tourism but from what I understand they didn't even invite the foreigners that are already living here that understand better than us what are best pros and cons are and what to focus on primary. If you could make a video from your point of view as a foreigner about this and how Bulgaria should be rebranded towards the international scene to attract more tourists that would be lovely to watch.

The most accurate definition of a foreigner who settled and started his life in Bulgaria is a KALIN from Sweden. Get into his words, but to begin to understand us Bulgarians, the native people of this holy land, learn our language and a little history. And I don't respect people who don't know anything about our country and just put their finger on the globe and ended up in Bulgaria by accident. These are just russian roulette players! And Bulgaria, following the example of Holywood somewhere in the desert of western America, should be called the Holy Land of the Balkans! =====
