2022 Bighorn here, radar detector remained on after shutting vehicle off… then wouldn’t turn back on after 30-45 mins unless I unplugged it and plugged it back in this was driving me insane. Nice 5 mins fix to correct this, thank you!

Need help for my big horn 2020 same problem
we have the same model in factory setting the cigarette lighter socket switches off ( all fuses are good) when a Garmin is attached. Will it stay on in the left position? Ty

The answer is yes it should work the same if it appears the same.
I have a dash cam that I have go off with the keys, in my work truck.
Works like a charm. If you wanted 24/7 coverage at the expense of your charged battery’s life, you could keep it rolling footage, while parked. ✌️

Thank you, I'm going to try that. Recently I bought a dash cam and I plugged it into that cigarette outlet. For some reason, it stays power on even when I turn off the car. I will check my car and move it to the right so the camera goes off when the engine is off.
Did moving the existing fuse to the right position work to turn the cam off with ignition off? I want to do the same if it worked. You move the existing fuse, correct?
@@todd8672 it does work. I use a garmin dash cam that i want off when i shut the truck off and chose that slot for that very reason. In addition to having a bad splitter that was initially blowing a fuse upon insert, i also had to rectify the always on scenario. I could find a single video so i made one lol. Take care
My 2021 tradesman 3500 didn’t have a fuse box down there under the panel… can’t find it. Any clue where it might be?
After a quick search it appears all of your fuses could be located in the centralized fuse panel located under the hood. Appears to be front driver side, the best i can tell. Try to cross reference this with your user manual. Hope this helps.

@@davidcandao1 From what I recall, all the fuse options I needed were under the hood. So when I opened it, I realized the socket I needed constantly on (the one explained in this video), was already set on always being on lol. And I went to buy a pack of the fuses, just to realize it already had one and it brought a spare one.
Anyone know how to remove this 12v power plug from dash so I can get 12v dc power to a dashcam?

I’m not certain and have no way to confirm but i would say there is a high likelihood. I would imagine the fuse layout is also likely the same for that year and model. Follow along and pay close attention. If it works drop a like please. Hope it works for you! -Ben

There’s two panels. One under the hood. One under steering wheel. For the lighter Jack, it should be under the steering wheel

Why would you tear into a new vehicle ?
This vehicle is fleet with safety lights and a lot of electrical equipment. I had a bad inverter that blew two fuses until i figured out what the problem was. That’s why. It’s also popping a plastic panel to access the fuse panel. Hardly tearing into. Thanks for watching
