To be honest I feel this game should get a second chance. There's a lot of potential they can improve on and add on to. Who knows what the future holds. It's good to see people still playing this
Yeah this game had a second chance ^^ it was called Evolve Stage 2. What you ask for is a third chance. Not gonna say it doesnt deserve it but there is a reason why they shut it down.
There isn't a 4v1 designed around the Boss fight element either atm, it's technically unique.

I've seen a number of Evolve games and honestly would say this was some of the cleanest performances of the Kraken that I've seen. Nice job.

@Le Steveots The face is very Squid-like, you can't see it when playing as him most of the time though. If you saw him from the front, he's literally a Squid given Human anatomy.

Honestly part of that is because hunters were super duper weak
The animations for the monsters are so damn great, even 7 years later.

If you don't understand what i mean by "kill": the game is full of paid DLC and you can't play it full until you pay more on top of the game itself
If i were them i will make the game f2p but are locked with one character/monster, they should pay to get the full game(characters/monsters)
@@theplant4046 ah that would still be pay to win, they should just have made monster obtainable (but hard to obtain) and made only the cosmethics to pay, its not like they would have made little money because it costs to buy the game and everyone would have fucking loved it, but they had to be braindead shitheads who only cared about the instant income and not about how the game would have grown over the years, this shit could have become as popular (in my opinion) as Minecraft thanks to its amazing graphic, desing, gameplay and even game lore, which you don’t really care about when you play games like this but it’s really nice.

@@Danja191 Don't use close range weapon against Kraken. If you've never win against 1 then your team might be using wrong character or you guys meet 1 hell of a Kraken player -_-

Man... I remember the first time i watching Evolve... like 7 years ago :))))
Oh wow, I remember being able to play the beta of it and thinking that this would become a banger of a game, just to entirely forget about it at one point and later seeing it again but it was a rather dead game at that point already, peaking at 300-400 players, just a year later it couldn't get to a peak of 100 players.
Kinda wish it would receive a new start because this game is beautiful and still looks super fun to play.
It received a new start when they launched stage 2, and it had a decent amount of concurrent players whenever they pulled the plug on the servers. It was gutted the second time around while it was in the process of hitting is stride again.
@@eewweeppkk Yea I just looked and it seems to be around ~1000-ish concurrent players which is awesome. I probably have to check it out now. It was like 30-50 more that

I absolutely loved this game when it came out. I never understood why it didn't catch on. It was well polished from the start, and was just nonstop fun, win or lose.
hugely unbalanced launches of new monsters that you could pretty much one side the match vs the hunters early on and the matchmaking was awful to boot, where it would take like 30 mins to find a match. honestly the balance and matchmaking systems could have been fixed but what really put the nail in the coffin was the paid dlc. in multiple transactions, if you wanted all the DLC, it was around 200$ USD.2k got really greedy with this game.

The issues he said is all valid things that happened during the game's lifecycle and sone of the reasons it killed the game.
If anything, I don't think you play the game after launch. And you wondered why the game died.

Kraken is my favorite monster to play as. It's hard as hell though to win. You pretty much have to hit all of those lightning shots to keep up pressure. Otherwise, hunters will just heal and power through your armor and health.
i personally loved playing him on the original evolve because his lightning strike could go infinitely far but just became hard to aim the farther you made it go and i also liked setting what i like to call " evil traps " where i placed as mane banshee mines as possible then i sat there ready to pounce a hunter and it was usually a quick kill, even though im a goliath and wraith main i think kraken is still very fun
This game is a pure gem. It was the first of it's genre and people were not ready for it. It also came out during a time where all the casuals were playing garbage games like cod and bf. Truly a shame.

I remember playing hours of Kraken and got really good. One time I wiped a squad and the guy on comms at the end was like "Well, gotta hand it to him." lol

Edit: "Evolve" was the "Dead by Daylight" which people weren't ready for. It was way ahead of its time. Great to see players like you, I wish there were more.
People were ready for it though. The studio just decided to destroy their playerbase by dumping tons of day 1 DLC on top of its release. They killed the game themselves.
Let me tell y'all something, Evolve was ahead of it's time! Even with the paid dlc for characters and monsters. The game was very fun! It gave birth to the ASMM genre in gaming! It was another game before it with same gameplay as well. I forgot what it was called but it was on ps3 and xbox! You played as human who had to kill soldiers. The Warframe devs made it. Anyways! Evolve actually required teamwork between the hunters to bring down monster.
Trapper had the biggest role cause he was responsible for finding the monster. If he didn't, GG cause you would had to sweet to beat a level 3 monster! And guess what? If the trapper went down, so did the dome and the monster would get away!!
Tank/assault was the main source of DMG. You had to first get through the monster armor and it's large health pool! When the trapper drops the dome, tank needed to stay on the monster ass the whole fight! As longs you was able to break the monster armor as tank, the rest of the game would be easy! If not, you was in for a long game if the tank didn't crack the monster armor!!!
Support and Medic was always in the background helping the team out best as they can. As a support the monster didn't pay to much attention to you since you wasn't a big threat. But that mean you also help the tank kick out dmg as well! Anyone who mained monster know that orbital strike was no joke and take a good chunk of health away! Medics needed jukes when playing because the way how the tank stays on the monster in the dome, that's how the monster will stay on you since you're responsible for healing the whole team!
So the monster would attack medic or trapper first, and leave the tank and support last! It's such a shame the publishers mess up Evolve! Very fun game and age beautifully. If they bring another one out, it will sell and give DBD comp cause you have to actually have to work together as team and that's what make it fun! Even if you lost as monster or hunters guarantee you would enjoyed yourself! Btw Turtle Rock was the publishers and devs of Evolve. Look what they did to Back 4 Blood today?

This... was the best game I have EVER played in my life NOTHING will ever beat EVOLVE in my case Im still hoping companies like epic games will revive this game and bring JOY to my life.

I remember playing this game for exactly one single round because we couldn't find a single lobby back then. I would have loved to play this game with my friends, but we all deinstalled it after a few weeks, because we never got into a lobby. I always ask myself: "What the hell went wrong with this game?"
they should make an openworld game where u can survive as one of these monsters in a worlds with multiple other monster or humans and those humans and monsters would be players but u can also play solo but in solo u have to play both monster and humans to complete the lore of evolve

He feels really slow to play as tbh, but at the benefit of flying over everything yeah. We're trying to get it re-listed on Steam for everyone at the moment.. The game's like a VIP experience right now, it's silly.

@@lNeml That’s the problem though, there would be many more I’m sure if it was only available for purchase/download me being one of them. Hard to play a game you can’t even get your hands on. Hopefully it makes a comeback. Game was amazing and they took it too far by just killing it all together instead of even attempting at fixing the issues.

My monster main in Evolve… RIP my Kraken.. I miss kicking ass with my baby Cthulhu. I fucking miss this game and truly truly wish this game succeeded and would’ve had so much more monsters, hunters and overall content to this day. It may be heavily flawed but Evolve seriously deserves to be revived due to the unbelievable potential it had.

I think this game should get a second chance and a redesign. It was the first that i remember of its genre. It was supposed to be ground breaking but the technology wasnt quite there yet, but it is now.

Never watched Evolve gameplay until the few videos surfacing now. By far the Kraken has been the most powerful monster I’ve seen! Just being able to fly is awesome and make lighting strike the hunters looks devastating. I know each monster have to be played well to truly shine and it’s fair dependent on skill. Makes the game really interesting and fun to watch! So sad it didn’t do well on release and the future…
He's actually one of the weakest monsters in the game. Flight is more of a disadvantage in most areas and he's incredibly slow and fragile. Can be fun to play against non-sweaty teams though yeah.

@@shezyam460 Goliath is a jack of all trades. And his meteor version is a straight upgrade for constant damage from all moves. If not Goliath, I usually choose wraith.
