this why i use Kirby vacuums my mom used to shampoo carpets I was going to shampoo first with the Kirby water on my SteamVac leaked I used to have an old cheap carpet cleaner from Walmart water freaking leaked on my floors so this is why I don't use cheap carpet cleaners I would use the Kirby Vacuum shampoo system just pick up all the water on the tray

That valve inside had to go bad. Mine has never done this. That machine was totally abused before you got it
You know just as well as I do this machine has issues. I’m pretty sure you can fix it

SteamVacs don’t usually leak water but this one does because the valve is messed up. I’m not a fan of Kirby’s that much. Just my opinion
