@@rockjockchick You’re right overall, of course, but I searched about it and it seems like that kind of bow was very rare (I could only find the one American Indian type). They wouldn’t make a full double shaft, they used smaller shafts in the front (like half the length of the main bow), and apparently it’s a legit physics concept that makes sense in terms of getting more power out of your springs (bows are essentially just springs). Personally I would’ve thought there would be a bunch of bows like this, but haven’t found anything else. Apparently bows that have full sized double shafts were “missing the point” of this type of bow. The small bow in the front somehow gives it more power, didn’t read it all. In the end though, it looks nothing like this guy’s bow so I’m not sure it even relates to this video at all lol.
depends on how much poundage each bow stave gives / Two bow staves combined into one are actually enough / But the main advantage is that they have a smoother draw, are easier to draw (feels like less poundage), can be left strung for longer periods of time without loosing power & You don't need high quality bow wood like Osage or Yew for good performance / you can get good performance for the given poundage with lesser wood
Thats a terrible designe with how all the arms are curved the same way. You should utilize a penobscot designe instead. There are triple arm penobscots. Ideally the "lesser" arms should be curved away from the main bow allowing for a much higher load
I think this bow is just done for fun. If you can pull a 60 or 80 Lb single string with a steady hand I'll say your pretty good. But it must not be a Compound Bow as it loses it strength half way through to only 50% The string if being rubbed against the two other holes of the 2 bows will tent to break rather quick also. Not a Bow to fuss about. The Grip section is also very very bulky to hold making shooting or releasing an arrow rather difficult thus shooting at a target will never be accurate.
i was thinkin the same bout the grip...u gotta rlly have strong fingers to use this...inorder to compensate for the grip....& w/archery...the longer u hold a bow the easier it is to tire out...cuz alot of archers use those trigger calipers ...to compensate for the gripping required thats lost n aiming...
The native americans had a double bow called the penobscot named after the tribe that made them
Exactly Penobscot and passamaquody tribe bow.. Haye when people claim others designs as their own or something other.
Yes.

As an archer I like this concept. If it improves power, without impeding on other aspects I'd be very impressed
It's a design for weak bow woods.
@@ReasonAboveEverything can you elaborate more? So weak wood bows are doubled/tripled to make it stronger right?
@@gambigambigambi yes
@@gambigambigambi You got it.

Thanks for showing. They are interesting limbs.
Interesting. The string runs through all the limbs different from the Pemiscot
I did archery as a child but, always preferred a sword.
Here let me help you, to make your Archery has more sword vibes.
Use those swords as projectiles instead.

Seems slower than a string single arm. What are fhe advantages of multiple bows? Multiple arrows?

bro 3 arrows at once lol
YOU DIVIDE THE POWER OF EACH ARROW BY 3 WHEN YOU SHOOT 3 TOGETHER. AND I CAN DO WITHOUT THE COMPLEXITY OF A SPIDER.
Three at a time is pretty slick.
just fantasy
Where can I buy one please
