For the longest time I never wanted to read Genesis, I always thought, "I know this story, Adam and Eve, bleh, bleh, bleh." But until i really sat down and read it and watched to two videos, I can see that Genesis is really important. I got to sit down and actually soak In God's faithfulness through Abraham's family. I love Genesis, time to read on the Exodus!

They missed the part of Lot's daughters getting him drunk and having intercourse with him, with each of them conceiving sons. They also missed the part where Onan refuses to impregnate Tamar and spills his seed on the ground, which angers God and causes Onan to die. Then Judah confuses Tamar for a prostitute and impregnates Tamar.

I wanted to say thank you so much for your amazing videos. I have trauma issues around my relationship with God and the Bible because of my upbringing as a Jehovah's Witness. I'm now a Christian and struggling to connect with God and His Word in meaningful ways due to panic attacks, self-judgement and a lot of pain that I'm learning how to heal from.
These videos make me feel safe, comforted, help me understand God as both just and loving, get me excited about God's plan for the world and the Bible's vision of life, and inspire me to dig deeper into my own Bible. So sorry to hear that. I was blessed by a book a number of years ago that may be a blessing to you. It was called "30 Years a Watchtower Slave: The Confessions of a Converted Jehovah's Witness". Sometimes it helps to know you're not alone.
Wow sorry to hear the jehovahs witness sister in Christ but God has brought you out of it and many people God is bring out of that faith...it seems like everytime i hear a jehovahs witness story there is alway other family conflict will always be involved but its like that with most faiths And Jesus christ did say in the gospel that there would be conflict with your own family..but take heart sister know that your battle is a spiritual one and dont think of your family is the problem or your enemy

These overviews are amazing. My wife has always told me that she does not read the Bible because she has never been able to understand it and that it just goes over her head. I told her today about these overviews and how clearly they unfold the story that is the Bible. She has asked me to send her the first one to watch. I have started from the beginning with Genesis 1-11.

Damn do I love you guys. (Excuse the language) I started reading the Bible about half way through 2018 to get closes to God and to find why I am. But I have recently been struggling and just not committing to what I say I’m going to do. I.e. I lacked integrity. You guys explain the bible really well. Now I’m gonna read every book and when I’ve done the book, I’ll come here to review what I’ve read. God bless all of you animators, writers, narrators, both men and woman. In Jesus name. Amen.

I'm so happy to have found this channel. I started reading the Bible more than a year ago but was filled with a lot of anxiety especially because I was originally prone to it at that time. I think I have OCD but I am not yet diagnosed, and that kept me from peacefully reading it (example: I would have a horrible intrusive thought which would compel me to read the same line over and over again). I couldn't enjoy it or find it interesting. This year I started gaining interest in the Bible again, except this time it didn't feel forced. I am so so glad that this channel exists as I can go through the story of Genesis again (as I forgot some things that have happened and also got confused with a lot of the names) but most importantly I can relax and put my mind to ease and focus by sitting back and watching and listening to the stories.

God is so forgiving. We mess up all the time. I know I do but he keeps on forgiving us over & over again. Forgiveness is something I'm sure we all struggle with. I know I do. I know I personally struggle with "love your neighbor". With the way the people of the world are today, it's difficult. Can't understand selfishness & lack of humility. Everyday 11 Christians are murdered for their faith. There's people that are homeless. For me, it ends up in mixed emotions with anger & sadness.

And it's so amazing because the book is about abrahm and it's offspring if u would pay attention ull see the books name is GENEsis, what is gene? (in informal use) a unit of heredity which is transferred from a parent to offspring and is held to determine some characteristic of the offspring.
Simple definition
The basic unit of heredity passed from parent to child.

I haven’t read the Bible all the way through but now I want to learn how to listen to GOD
"Count the stars if you can", I always assumed that it was night when God, in Genesis 15;5, took Abram outside and told him this. But in a bible study called Bible Timeline, Jeff Cavins points out something even more amazing than countless stars: reading from vs 5 to 12, after speaking with God, Abram prepares a sacrifice, and then in verse 12 "As the sun was about to set..." lets the reader know that it was not yet dark in verse 5 when Abram looked up into the sky. Love to hear your thoughts, God's blessings!

Or it could mean that preparing a sacrifice takes so long it was already the end of the next day.
This great initiative guys, I would only correct one thing, it is about Jacob - he actually bought his right for blessing, "no one saw that" - that's what Esau thought, but God saw that, that's why it is written in the Bible. That's why his blessing came upon him, God honored the deal, because Jacob had a zeal for family's spiritual blessing and never departed his home. Esau did not care about promises upon his family and always looked to the world, and worldly women.
God would never honor blessing if it won't be legit
Esau was Hungry and he sold his right to satisfy his flash. That's what many do today, they exchange the blessing upon their life when they go to satisfy their flesh.

Edit: However, I also remember Esau causing some mayhem as well... taking multiple wives and causing discord in his family. This lead Jacob's mother to encourage/allow Jacob to deceive his father into taking his brother's inheritance in the first place. (That doesn't excuse Jacob, of course.)

I want to have a relationship with God, I want to strengthen it... it's hard, I'm still struggling with sin, and I'm afraid to spread the gospel and don't read the Bible enough (I'm still on genesis after about 3 or 4 weeks)... but I'll try my best because I know God will guide me on this journey, he will give me the strength if I ask for it because he loves me as he loves all his children
