    Excellent video, thanks for posting.
    The infrastructure here just goes to show the major issues that would need to be overcome should the decision ever be made to re-double this line. (Which they should!)

      Hi John, thanks for watching the video. Yes it had two extra coaches in it's formation including a buffet car. I have had a ride on the five coach version from Guildford to Salisbury via Havant and Fareham. I also spent many years travelling on 3H units from Fareham and then Salisbury, between Basingstoke and Reading and finally between Brighton and Eastbourne. There is nothing like the sound of a Thumper going flat out. Cheers Pete
