For over twenty years, the music and magic of DIO have shaped the very landscape of heavy metal. Now for the first time ever, the celebrated and epic over-the-top live show has been captured digitally and can be relived by fans worldwide anytime!
On a rain-soaked Friday the 13th in december of 2002, the mastery of DIO took full command of New York City's famous Roseland Ballroom. In grand fashion, the formidable quintet was unleashed upon a rabid sold-out crowd, delivering a memorable performance that was nothing less than a heavy metal history lession.
With material ranging from the timeless anthems found on the Holy Diver and Last In Line albums to brand new headbangers from their latest opus, Killing The Dragon, DIO delivered that special kind of everything that hard rock and heavy metal fans live for. Also included are several electrifying classics' from Ronnie James Dio's days with Rainbow and Black Sabbath.

I was front row of this show and was in tears because I finally got to see the master!!!!! It was a show that I'll never forget!! Thank God I got to see this true gentleman!!!!! I do mean a gentle man!!!!!!

This live performance from Dio is one of the greatest ever and that says a lot considering it is Ronnie James Dio we're talking about. Doug Aldrich and the whole band are in the best of shapes and we're gifted with 'Killing The Dragon' stuff which is excellent and underrated.
Dio never dies, for a atheist such as me Dio means god, so he's my God, the eternal king of Heavy Metal.
Met Ronnie 1974 in a bar called Noah Johns in cortland NY. Didn't know who he was,(he said he was 8n a band called "the elves") but we chatted it up. Really a very down to earth nice guy.
Ended up buying Gary Driscoll (Elves) drum kit.l and used it for 40 yrs.

I was at that concert. It was on December 2002 on Roseland Ballroom at NYC. Hammerfall and Kings X were the opening. What a rainy night.
Oh shit, I knew Kings X opened for Ac/dc back in the Razor´s Edge tour, but they opened for Dio, too? What an awesome bill
Doug is top drawer, brilliant technique and his attention to absolute killer sound/tone .. he done the same thing on the Whitesnake gig .. breathed fresh energy into everything he applied himself to on every song .. top top professional.
Doug works really hard on tone. And seems to enjoy doing it

He may of had the biggest voice in rock but his band was not as huge as the other biggies.

Dio was a great performer and always a powerful vocalist. To me the mature Dio is the best, and this must have been right near his peak. Simply a masterful performance in every regard.
He hits every note, is surrounded by top notch talent, and conducts himself as a pure class act.
All I can say all my life have been listening to Ronnie James Dio he rocks man you just rocks

So, so many looked to this man for ideas and as a "how-to" guide when deciding what & how their live shows would be. Also, the best way to support a new album. There is the music industry, the 'top shelf' of that industry, and further up, on a separate ladder, 'Dio' could be seen, but never bettered or duplicated!

So , to be in the audience in this setting would of been worth more that a small child ( in some countries - lots offended , I already know) from mars!
I went to the Dio concert in SLC ( Saltiar " Salt Air Pavilliion"complex) 2000~ 2001. Doro , Yngwie opened for DIO. Or Maybe Yngwie was first.
However, Long time Metal fan, thought I heard the loudest concert ever- 1986-87 IRONMAIDEN, right, nothing compared to Yngwie , I swear to all of you .. I got
freaked out , not only how it was so loud , it was the first time in my life a Angel , knowing I was going to see the METAL man himself DIO , Never knew Yngwie had Wings .
He blew the minds of all in attendance.
Also the MAGICA tour was the most EPIC masterpiece ever given by any EVER!
MAGICA is an absolute gift given to us all, I Love you Ronnie James !! DIO FOREVER!!!!!!!!
