Channel i did, however, became part of MediaCorp through okto that separated Central and Vasantham and used the former Channel i's frequency. With Okto ceasing its transmission at midnight on 1 May 2019, children's programmes returned to Channel 5 like it was before the launch of Central in 2000. And Okto's programming block on Channel 5 almost completely replaced repeated programmes and morning show. If you only consider Channel 5, Channel 8 and Channel U, Channel 8 is currently the only channel that have their own morning show, albeit as a 30-minute programme. Morning Express replaced Good Morning, Singapore in 2014 and was broadcast for just 30 minutes instead of 90 minutes.

Also, during the early days (1995-1996) the era's ident had the music sounding a bit different as well as the male singer singing the slogan 'Your World At Home on 5'.
The 2005 intro is the very longest time of usage ever (10 years) even it also remaster the 1980s theme. Anyway there's a Metro TV (Indonesian) footage too in the headline.
I love how they remixed the 1980 theme 3 times (1987, 1988 and 2005, the latter only has the last notes of the theme however, the theme that plays during the headlines, however, is clearly a remix). Also I realized that the SBC logo on the first version of the 1988-1991 intro actually zooms in from Singapore, that's a very nice touch.
I wonder if the existence of CNA has prompted Channel 5 to scale back on the amount of newscasts it airs through the years. Making 5 only confined to having a newscast at night to this day.
