This was different than their other dances and I actually liked it! I watched the full thing, which I usually never do.
Same! With the lyrical dances I get bored so easily and just skip them. With this I watched the whole thing an I couldn't take my eyes off the screen, especially nia and kenz!
Dancers Fan Out of interest, why do you watch Dance Moms if you don't like dancing enough to watch a full 3 minute routine normally? Or even call yourself 'Dancers Fan'?
I actually haven't watched dance moms in a really long time, I only watched this episode bc I heard about drama w/ the Zieglers and wanted to see it myself. I will watch a full routine of any other studio I like. I call myself Dancers Fan because I'm a fan of the kids I post. Check out my channel and you will see very little DM stuff, as I am a fan of the kids but not the show. It's filled with kids from OCPAA, DP, CDC, and lots more. I love to dance and I love watching it.
When I say I don't watch the full thing, I'm usually on youtube watching it so it's easy for me to just cut it off. Like I said earlier, I will watch full dances of solos, duo/trios, groups of many studios and I will watch it over and over again. I just don't like ALDC choreography that much, it's boring and repetitive, so I usually won't watch the entire thing.
I'll watch any dance of Mackenzie and Jojo all the way through though. They're my favorites :)

Ah right, I get ya! Why do you like Mackenzie though - personality wise or dance wise? Because she's never massively impressed me as a dancer.

I keep finding myself coming back to this dance. Maddie slayed this dance!
It amazes me how light their body expressions match the music . The can be strong and stiff one minute and soft and flexi for the tucks and jumps .
I think Maddie killed it, of course. I mean she always does but Nia, and Jojo were really good as well.
Even though they didn't win I thought it was great they got to try a different style and still looked great!

I could understand why they got second. Even though they danced great, their spacing and general use of stage was off. I also think something was missing from that costume. I can't put my finger on it. They danced well.

When i first started watching dancemoms (around season 3 ) i knew nothing about the girls and i thought oh maddie can only do lyrical but i've realised she is amazing at ALL dances i couldn't take my eyes off her!

Don't blame Jojo. The dance wasn't very technical. They didn't have much turns, just movements. It was a good dance but not enough points to win first. Before you criticize, do your research or have experience.
It wasnt jojo.. Its because the dance was kinda messy.. Plus. Becoming not first is not bad. Jojo is off but u cant blame someone for making the dance 2nd.

the fact that you can tell all the dancers loved it makes a whole lot of difference to me, they had a great week with travis and slayed the final performance, love love love this dance!
I don't watch the episodes anymore so idk what the premise behind this dance's creation was but the girls didn't seem as together, sharp and confident in their movement as they usually did and the difficulty level seemed much lower than their usual. I do like the changeup but I feel it wasn't executed to the usual standards
Fullmetal Heart I think the power of the costume would of helped with all that and let them win. The dance was called 'beautiful bizarre' yet take away the eye makeup, the costumes looked like they were going to the gym for a workout.
lockerchief I mean I don't disagree the costumes were boring but it was just everything. When your main choreography has hair swooshing everywhere people get distracted and if the hair doesn't all swoosh the same way it looks a mess. Plus Jojo fidgeted and there were things that where they strutted forward towards the end their hands were different (not to pick on Jojo but a couple of times she had to glance over and seemed a beat behind) and that little front walk over flip (idk the name of it my studio didn't do any acro when I was there) at the end they were all at different times. If it was a cannon effect then it was timed even worse. Its not that they totally botched it its just that there was a LOT of little things that Abby wouldn't have normally let happen you know?
Fullmetal Heart They didn't seem as together because as Abby explained in the episode, this choreo is much more sharp and requires very accurate timing, unlike Abby's usual routines which are much more fluid. This was choreographed by Travis Payne, who was the main choreographer of Michael Jackson's This Is It :-) I really liked this routine because it was so different and a really good experience for the girls! I personally liked the costumes, though I understand where you're coming from haha.

Jojo forgot the dance a little bit at the end. You can see where Jojo forgot in 2:00 and at the end were they where doing a front Ariel(I don't know what it's called) and jojo did an Ariel.
Evelin Hernandez no JoJo and Mackenzie did the side ariel and then Kalani and Nia did a front walkover ariel.

No not really maddie is more of a ballet and lyrical dancer and mackz is more of a hip hop and acro dancer and this dance is more geared towards mackz than maddie because of the style

Oh my god.. I'm sorry Jojo was horrible in this and deserved to be on the bottom of the pyramid. She forgot the choreography so many times, and didn't hit any of the moves in the sequence where she started. Not trying to hate she's an awesome dancer, but she wasn't prepared for this dance and she ruined it for me.

Actually she brought the group together. I know she doesn't reach some of the moves because she has only been in the ALDC for about 4 months and doesn't have the right amount of technique. Her sass is amazing! I thought that without Mackenzie, they would've won...
Jojo looked amazing on this one!!! The costume made it look like their legs were much longer, like what you want as a dancer, it made them look flawless and so graceful.
