Rotis look yum, the dough is so soft. Gaja, I love to watch you cook. You have this calm unhurried style about you that is just amazing. You always keep it real. Thank you for taking the time to share your recipes and letting me into your kitchen.

When you laughed it displayed your honesty as you earlier admitted that you never made your roti into a perfect round...it was a cool thing. Love your video.
Somewhere up in Brëe Street Cape Town we use to go for the best Roti takeaway. I think the chef was Fatima and it was in the early 90's. I now live in Portugal and long for my roti mutton curry. Hopefully this recipe will take me back to those memorable days.
Gaja, this video might be old today yet it saved my life, as it was my 1st time making my own roti, just by watching this video. I normally would buy ready made roti but Thanks to this Video I can now make my very own. 😊❤
Actually she IS using margarine, it's just a habit to call it butter here in South Africa. But she did say she prefers 'Rama' ( a brand of margarine) over pure butter.
Super delicious but I rolled out full complet le dough into one big square and then added butter with sprinkle flour as per u recipe and then rolled and cut into balls. Just easier and quicker.

I just made Ur recipe the other day ,and my family always ask 4 more ,and we are from the northern cape. So thanks a lot

Why
@@marionstevens2977
The regular way is to knead the flour with the baking powder, I have never seen anyone put baking powder after
Is there a written recipe of your roti recipe please
Only in our cookbooks
Can I freeze the dough
I do freeze my roti balls wirh no problem.
You sound and speak just like Fatima
Sori
Need lots of training
Normally the baking powder is added in the kneading process
Thanks will try that next time
