(And the music i was playing just before Hardcore Techno found me :) ..)
WHICH WAS SERIOUSLY MISSING FROM MY YT CHANNEL.
When the music was pushing its BPM's faster, idea's were rampant & the breaks were fucking HARD.
That FULL ON Rave era "just" before jungle influences really took over & Hardcore slowly (quickly even) morphed into proto Drum & Bass.
No bad thing for the evolution of music, but in the clammer to be the most cutting edge, Hardcore Breakbeat music back in its day literally had a 1.5 --2 year window of existance .....Yet spawned so much........

Got into Hardcore by listening Ellis Dee NYE92 mixtape from Fantazia. Great to see the Ellis represented here along with some of his Rhythm Section stuff!! Your a ledge too Luke, Helter Skelter Annual album switched me on to a load of harder techno and havent looked back since!!
I wear my heart on my sleeve - I was a massive Rhythm Section fan & I had more than a couple of "moment's " to Ellis Dee sets - Perception at Long Marston Airfield being a MASSIVE high point .... ❤🔥❤
@@lukemcmillan5211 I was 16 in Dublin, where everything was House, we had no hardcore scene and that Ellis tape was the only thing we had, we hammered it so hard, how it didn't snap is beyond me (our back up was a Dr S Gachet from Hellraiser in Belfast, also amazing ) As you say in your intro 92-93 were epic in relation to how the music moved from 91 though to the 93 darkness (some of the best records ever made, RIP Tango). Migrated to Hardcore Techno, have all the early Deathchant , used to spin on a pirate at the very wee hours trying to get the Irish interested but we were caught in a House death grip, very much our loss!! Again thanks for creating such masterpieces, to echo your sentiments, I was/am a massive Producer fan, had many a moment!!

Go & check the previous 2 mixes - Mark Ryder was Fantasy UFO & ran strictly Underground records , which these mixes are LITTERED with those records ... subversly Strictly Underground was considered "too overground" by many Dj's, but for my money, that label really set the path for High powered breakbeat rave in UK..... no question about it 👊❤👊🔥

Wait. Is this the ACTUAL dj producer? Like H.M.S,Scorpio,Dolphin & PRODUCER??? I loved 91/92 hardcore,93 jungle/DnB.. but the only techno i ever liked was played by Producer and Dolphin. Oh and scorpio
