Kanser - A short film

After more than three years, I've finally mustered the courage to share something very special to me. This project is a tribute to my sister, Joie Navalta Magsayo, who is now with our Creator in paradise. 😇 ❤️ It honors her immense contributions to our family and the positive spirit she maintained despite her tough battle. ❤️✨
At the time, it was too painful for me to share because I struggled to accept that my beloved sister was gone. However, when we were invited to submit an entry for the CMMA (Catholic Mass Media Awards), I felt a strong urge to raise awareness about "self-neglect," "health awareness," and "the importance of self-love" through our family's experience with cancer. 😊
This short film is dedicated to my sister, who dreamt big and was driven to uplift our family. She devoted herself tirelessly to achieving success and pushing through challenges until she faced her greatest fight. 😭❤️
The film offers a perspective on dealing with a serious illness like cancer and invites viewers to consider whether cancer is just a disease or possibly a result of one's lifestyle. Its purpose is to encourage reflection on the importance of health awareness alongside pursuing dreams. 😘
Disclaimer: The scenes depicted do not exactly mirror my sister’s life but suggest how neglecting oneself due to ambition can impact health. We should prioritize ourselves before anything else.

I know I promised to post this two years ago-sorry for the delay, but here it is now. I wish we could have done more with the color grading to truly capture the emotions, but oh well, hahaha. Remember how we made Joy cry with just eucalyptus in her eyes? Non-stop tears! 😂😂😂
