Insane match, this is one of the first ones I have watched where none died in the first part of the match. Everyone here seems to be a careful player.

So close in the start tho, if Jazzi or satoshi decided they wanted to push more. One or both of them would have certainly died and the end could have been anyone's gamr
I've been an RTS fan since C&C / SC , this is just now on my radar, how, I do not know, I love this, it's exactly what's needed, happy it's being played to top level 16 years on.. awesome, thank you
Are you sure this was Seton's? There was team work right from the beginning! It was less '4-different-minigames' than usual. Bravo!

what a game. definitely a clutch from team 1. I honestly thought when white got onto the shore it was pretty much game over. but that serious defence an team work plus the previous air win payed off massively in stalling long enough for the mavor to do it's damage an then the yolona oss out of nowhere to deal decisive blow after decisive blow was phenomenal.what a game. I think this may be the 2nd an third yolona oss you've casted.

I'll correct you. There was a Seton's game one or two years ago, with Blackheart in it for sure, both teams had para, one team built Yolona the other Mavor. The Mavor one won if I remember correctly, they had just enough antinukes to weather the storm.

Awesome match! It's the slow connections and lag that hold this game back in multiplayer, if the matches played smoothly like this it would be immensely more fun to play.

He did fight air, lost and then threw the rest of the fighters at the czar. You can watch the air-fight on the minimap. Was a bad turn one.
Sorry even as a commander fan there are quite a few better.

@@Devilsnightforlife I'd say planetary annihilation is better. Just becuase there's 1 more unit type (orbital) and the thing about travelling between planets its just awesome. Only problem is there's no factions, but there's a mod (VERY GOOD MOD), legion, that adds a whole new faction.

I recently did a setons with bradmante and he built three yolonas, he sure is fond of them....
This is awesome. Never been this early. Also I recently got the FAF client but when I search for replies maps or mods. Only like 6 appear and I cant figure out why. Am I doing something wrong?
Talk about a stand-off game, usually its the game-enders that finish the game you but this is the first time I've seen an experimental nuke come in.

Yep, that was the USA elections special, but in that game contrary to this one, none of the Yolona Nukes connected, where there we can see the glorious explosion of the seraphim experimental nuke in a Gyle cast for the first time !

not playing faf therefore wondering if there was a change done to the damage ground units take when transporters drop onto them or if its enough to issue a move order in time to prevent damage.
according to my supcom experience the engies at 8:35 should have been dead??
I've found it to be very inconsistent. It is definitely a factor, and honestly I was expecting those to die as well. Maybe the collision detection from the narrow spine on that transport just didn't register?
It is enough that some players will ctrl-k an asswasher on its first pass for a huge alpha-strike.

Team 2 had some good individual play early on. Then just sort of forgot what they were doing. Satoshi pushing well then getting bombed without any air cover from allies. Stealing the Island but getting out produced in ships? Only building frigate hordes? Again, with island advantage? I know it was all early but it just seemed like they leapt out the gate and then... Fizzled as they went into the mid game.

Why can't this game have a Diplomacy mode option? I mean why are teams always fixed? Diplomacy games where people make and break alliances are so much fun in other RTSes. So why isn't that in FAF? :/
it does but its not used
It is sort of used in places like phantom with make/breaking with allies.
But most faf maps such as this one are very left vs right with teams clumped together, so breaking would probably lead to instant death.
Also team members normally have specific roles for the team (air, front land, eco, side navy etc) which if left via break could seriously hurt the team and flow of the game (players having to make up for the leaver's role hurting their own role as well).
That's my understanding at least. :)
hey Gyle.. Multi tasking isnt a female thing, it is something that Women do as a role and is not a skill. Multi tasking isnt more efficient it has been found to be less efficient and each job is not done as well. We all have different brains. I have one brother who is great at focus and finds it hard to have an all encompassing view, like yourself, and another brother who is great at management of people, their skills, resources, and his own skills and time.
Gyle. Good match but i wish you wouldnt stay so zoomed away so much, because it hard and/or impossible to see who winning and advancing. Thanks.
If i made a list of mistaken calls ie - 21:50 the 'cybran' missiles. It might just take all day...
although i say that, its true that he has a very lovely ability to cast a battle in a pretty light such as the naval battle 22:50... albeit he misses the air fight.

I just played a 10 player FFA on the map of the earth. I hid away in a corner and build a para and 30 nuke launchers.

The whole game was interesting, but the end was utterly spoiled.

Starting with Ren's death that was even recognized as the first death with a substantial delay, the end was just a long whimper. Coulda stayed for a very rare by itself double Yolona penetration, and that's _after_ a Mavor pummeling, but nah, just gonna CK because... screw fun I guess?
