I visited Ukraine for 4 weeks last October. I asked 10 people (Ok, I know that is not a representative sample) the following: "What do you think Ukraine/the Ukrainian people would do if all external support for Ukraine ceased?" Two responded after a long silence: "I don't know." The other 8 said pretty much the same for each of them: "We will keep fighting, it is our land." A few said, adding to that: "We have been fighting them for nearly 10 years anyway." (PS I don't believe that Europe would stop supporting Ukraine.)
