Jitmuangnon Gym
Renowned for its reputation as one of the hardest hitting Muaythai camps, Jitmuangnon Gym certainly did not disappoint.
The attitude of the fighters and the trainers were both workmanlike and highly focused. It was an electric atmosphere that we feel comes across even in video.
It is a gym that is not active on social media, but it is certainly active on the fight scene with high participation in many promotions. That being said, it does have a CZcams channel that streams its own stadium fights at Jitmuangnon Stadium in Nonthaburi - also called Or Tor Kor 3 stadium.
The afternoon training starts at 3:30pm with a run, shadowboxing, padwork lasting up to 5 rounds of 6 minutes, bagwork, clinching and physical conditioning. Training ends close to 7pm!
The Jitmuangnon camp was created in 2000 by the promoter Somdjit Waenkaew (Radja stadium promoter) and the late Uan Muangnon, husband of the current owner, Ae Jitmuangnon. The name of the camp is taken from "Jit"
(the abbreviation of "Somdjit") and "Muangnon" - the last name of the late Uan. Since creation, almost 40 title belts have been won by the Camp.

the gym is actually located in Nonthaburi, where the name Jitmuangnon is derived from Jit (soul, mind) Muang (city, town) Non (Nonthaburi). The gym is nevertheless only 30-50 mins away from BKK city center. Great video by the way

The gym’s name is not about this meaning !! Jit is from one of the owner and now mayor of Nonthaburi county Somjit kwankeo and muangnon is from the man who looked after the boxers and gambling boss Uan Muangnon (fatman from the land of Nonthaburi ) my first time was in 2012 and i lived there for 6 years 3 months per year only a few foreigners or no one at that time. Good experiences

I lived not far away from here like a decade ago, back then Panpayak and Rodtang were still pretty much anonymous globally. Kru Gae used to wear that same white tank top and that same towel! Much love to Jitmueangnon, it's a great place!

There are farang there! We saw 1 from Italy and 1 from Lebanon. Both seasoned fighters.

Typically most MT Gyms do 8-10km in the AM and 5km in the afternoon. We shot in the afternoon!

We are unsure of the mechanics, but we believe so.
From the video, I’m not seeing many foreign fighters here. Did you see many in your time visiting. As the gym looks very good and definitely will be added to the list when I go to Thailand!
Not a great number of foreigners, maybe 4 to 5. The gym is very focused and fight centric. Absolutely inspiring in terms of intensity!
And the gym was founded at 2010 not 2000. The first champ was Petchkarat Jitmuangnon Chanel 7 champ and the second one was Panpayak raja title against Pet Or Primonsi from Lumakanwan gym !!

Think about at 2000 the most importants gyms were kaewsamrit, 96penang/sit or / Petchyndee in Bangkoknoi, last year of famous camp sor thanikul opened was 2002 before they closed, jocky gym as well … even at 2008 the best gym was wor wiwatananont in Taling Chang and even kesa gym who was in soi wat kampeng was opened before Jitmuangnon. We believe so, definitely a few were training there when we visited!
