To answer a point Daz made: They did keep him from playoff games at some point. He sued MLB for racial discrimination over it. He lost the lawsuit because just like his umpiring, he gets everything wrong. 🤣

Exceptions can be made for the GOAT Pat Hoberg. He called balls and strikes during a World Series game with 100% accuracy. Ian Happ said it best, if Pat calls me out on a borderline pitch I don't even question it. I turn around and walk back to the dugout because most likely I am out.

@@coyotelong4349 There are quite a few spread across sports. The problem is that casual fans will only know the really bad ones, so all of them are looked at as "bad" if you know what I mean. It is interesting that the vast majority of both pitchers and hitters do not want full roboumps calling balls and strikes. They want to keep the human element in the game, but allow a challenge.

The worst NBA ref was Joey Crawford. Hes the one you saw eject Tim Duncan for laughing on the bench. He was a complete scumbag with a massive ego, and he constantly made the game seem rigged by always calling so many fouls against the away team at the end of games. He made the NBA unwatchable

    • @brianeleighton

Last I checked Joey Crawford never went to prison because of his calls he made. You can't call him the "worst NBA ref" when a referee in the NBA was literally sent to prison for his involvement in a points fixing scandal. Because referees ARE allowed a wide latitude under the rules for ejecting players...including for laughing. You are saying he is worse than a referee that literally threw entire games in order to make gamblers money. Referees are definitely NOT allowed to do that. See the difference?
