new engines don’t need that whole 500 mile breakin period before you start racing goin in? Dude had like 30 some miles on the M8 and moments later he was racing a Ferrari😂
Most high power engines have been dyno'd at the crank before even placed into the car. They are already broke in.
@@michaelroyal9375 I agree with your statement, but not to be left out is that the car still has a break in period according to the manual. All new cars have that.
@@Pro09video Yeah but just like the new C8 the car is limited by the CPU until so many miles, usually 500. RPM's are limited and no launch control.

A lot of newer cars have a power limiter the first 500 miles

Hey Mike, a lot of vloggers are having issues with that camera. It has a one way mic and I notice your audio drops when you turn the camera away from you. Matt from Off The Ranch had the same issue and dumped it.

The M8 really needs the M-decalls, like the prototype. And as for your camera, get yourself a Bluetooth clipon mic to put on your jacket so audio is perfect even when you film from behind the camera.

AMG all the way!! That is the sexiest body style for the C class. I had a 2012 C300 4matic until I got rear ended. Sadly it is no more.

Unfortunately beating on a car like this can cost once it gives out. Fantastic cars, great honest owners content.
C63 issue from the back sounds like a previous owner/garage issue, Front issue happens to all c63 as the whole car runs some serious camber front/back.
Valve cover or gasket leak is common problem but its not an expensive fix.

Enjoy all the videos Mike cant wait to see the new F150 an im so glad you got the amg inspected. Man that would have been horrible if that wheel fell off. You would think that the Wheel Speed Sensor would have picked up the vibration an set a dtc. I think some cars will set a ( ABS) light or service car soon light to alert a driver that something is wrong. My father in laws caddilac cts had a dtc that said left wheel excessive vibration which in his case he had a bad tie rod for that side an the speed sensor i guess can tell based on the speed of the tire or something like thats.
Mike Mike Mike. You’re now seeing the downside to owning an AMG that’s more than 3 years old. They break often, and they aren’t cheap to fix. Awesome cars, but reliability is not their strength. I hope no more crazy shop bills come as long as you own it. Best of luck!

I think we have coupes from the same exact batch of w204 c63 production..mine has or had the exact same issues you described minus the mice 🐁 but did have a full transmission replacement 30 days after I bought it (shop bill woulda been $12k if it werent for warranty coverage) 😬

Mike... when you hear an abnormal noise, generally you stop driving the car, at least stop driving at speed, and either get it to the mechanic right away, or pull over and get towed. Don't keep on driving because you think things like wheel bearing slowly get worse... and plus, that's no excuse to keep driving on bad components.
This reminds be of when I recently received my special ordered Silver GT Mustang and put $20,000 for a down payment. It arrived with 3 miles on it.
This is why I sold my Mercedes today. So relieved. Second Mercedes that’s given me nothing but hefty bills. Never again.
What kind was it? I had a 2015 c 300 bought used with 18k miles in 2017. 3 months ago I hit a deer and totaled it at 165k miles . So I drove the wheels off the thing , highest mileage one I could find online and I only had like 2k fix once and that was for the pcv valve and you have to lift the engine partially to get to it . I was shocked how well it held up.the fix was also like 2 weeks before I wrecked it:/

When you buy a high mileage low spec version of any car you will have issues. You get what you pay for with everything
The thing is, once everything that is faulty is taken care of. It's a good car. particulary those engines 6.3l v8 are quite strong

Crazy thing is the car belonged to a friend and I used to drive the car pretty often and once i bought it BOOM thats when things started going south so yea money pit indeed
Just a thought.. but while you’re waiting for the new F-150 to arrive.. why don’t you make the Ranger a cheap mini build series? You could do something along the lines of what StreetSpeed did with the Blazer. Could give you a fresh content line up since you’re down a truck. A lot of Ranger fans out there so I’m sure the views would come. Cheap lift, wheels and tires and make it like a rock crawler or a pre runner. Just my thinking though!!

That's why I chose Lexus RCF over C63. Haven't spent a single penny in last 2 years and car hasn't depreciated much either. Used RCF is the way to go.

Next time, buy an extended warranty Mike! You see how it saved your ass on the Ferrari with the belt issue. Your $28k AMG has now cost 35k. You could have bought a well sorted, lower mileage AMG for 35k

makein jhonson you have to do your research on model years when buying is all. Like the w211 eclass I would steer clear of 03-06 and get 07-09. Now the newer ones are pretty reliable. The 2018 + we will see with all the tech plus the power trains are newer so we will see.

One or two big repairs over long the life of a car isn't uncommon for German cars, I've had two big ones on two of my merc's

New camera quality is good but it's motion is more jerky. Does it have a image stabilizer feature???
Main thing that bugs me with camera is I think the audio works better when it faces you thats where the mic must be, it gets to quiet when you point the camera at something other than your face.

The mic on the new camera seems one sided. I hear you quite fine when you have it facing toward you, but if you talk when you are filming something else, your voice becomes quieter.

No one should be surprised. Mercedes makes cars that break down after 6 to 8 years of ownership and they're so damn expensive to repair.

The only reason people chop AMGs in after warranty is because maintenance is to costly and why second hand AMG seem like good value until you own one.
