      Hi! Then let's make a video of how to make a switch with a diode. Most of us know a diode is a one way electronic component, until we start to play with low voltage, high voltage and frequencies. That is the point when we start to forget the "ideal diode" and start learning the real electronics". Thanks Cris for the comment!

    Thank you for a Great Video, as I'm testing components of a microwave that won't Heat, and eliminating different components as to why. My Diode tested good by your test. So I've narrowed it down to the Termal Fuse, so hopefully that will fix the microwave. Thanks again.

      Hi! Minute 2:08, 9V - Vdiode = 5.4V, and Reverse 0V or close to 0, is a good diode. But it looks like you don't know what you are doing. Please, take it seriously; you are not qualified to service a microwave oven and you put your life in danger. Bring it to profesional service or get a qualified mentor to help you. Consider the mentor's help. I graduated as industrial electronics technician, and as electronics engineer in medical equipment, but I was next to an old electronics engineer for was mentor for nine years. Thanks for ask!

      @PeopleHealthTru Před 3 lety

      @@bob.kalpon1398 Microwave stopped heating. What might be wrong other than the diode? Still in circuit, the high voltage capacitor isn't shorted when measured across terminals, so that is good. Over temperature sensor (disables microwave especially when humid wet) is 0.2 ohm both directions when measured on meter's 200 ohm setting - while removed from circuit.

    • @PeopleHealthTru
      @PeopleHealthTru Před rokem

      @@izrekeicitaticom as I wrote my diode is 3 volts across the diode and it's not shorted. I didn't replace the expensive diode. I replaced the capacitor and the magnetron and it still didn't work so I'm guessing the control panel has a problem. Your diode isn't shorted so maybe it's okay. I'm not the one to answer your question.

      Hi! Be careful! ...a 6V or 12V lead acid battery can source many Amperes. It is too strong if the diode was in short and you miss handle it. It is the reason why I recommended the 9V battery.

    My inverter P. S in microwave is buzzing with fan and magnatron disconnected. The diode pair is reading in reverse bias a small 0.01 V leakage. Not zero. Is that acceptable range? Display works and can start but no warming and shuts off after 30 seconds or so.
