I live in germany and when i walk around with my super cute cat hat i get frquently asked if its still carnival/helloween -.- so yeah, you are right.
Actually I'm one of these who love being judged just because it's fun to see people's reactions x)
I live in France and I could tell whatever fashion store you go to despite being from different brands basically everything is the same so I automatically stand out with all the colors and stuff, some people like it and actually I did recieve compliments while I was walking in the street, and my highschool is very tolerant about my style
But I'm sad that I have to order online
Hopefully shops are opening in Paris (I live near Paris) like BTSSB but J-fashion remains really something you practically never see and in general people are like "omg this person stands out too much they are ridiculous they don't try to fit in" and all that shit and a lot of people are sensitive and afraid to wear what they like because of that
That's sad because I think J-fashion is fun fashion and if it could help brighten a person's day that's cool
But seems like people like to be rude and judgemental (that won't stop me tho x))

Pandy Pauli for online stores, I personally order from Aliexpress. It's not really a J-fashion store but you can find what you want !
For lolita mainly, there's Bodyline that is really cheap ! Many brands have their online store too, like Cute can Kill I think.
Or you can just search sites in Google and I think you'll find !
Sometimes when I search something specific I go to Google images and when I find what I was searching for in a pic that looks like one from an online store I go to the page it's on.

The most thing I love about Japan, like Harajuku fashion as a whole. Your able to be yourself, by dressing the way you like💝 no matter how different your taste in style is. It's very acceptable there.

What is the difference between kawaii and lolita fashions?
Kawaii in Japanese just means cute, so anything found cute by Japanese standards would count as kawaii! However, Lolita is a very specific fashion subculture. It's based on fashions with roots in the Victorian era. Lolitas will always be wearing poofy skirts :) there's a Wikipedia page you can read for more info.
