    Had our Smittybuilt RTT for a few years now. Easily 80 nights spent in it. It's rugged, been in 54MPH wind gusts, well built, and love it. Was leary at first because it was the cheapest option, but this damn thing is fantastic.

    Great video! I have the BodyArmor4x4 RTT (it's fairly new) which sells for around $900 so that would fit on this list as well.
    I have an overview video of it. I'd say it's similar to a Tepui, nothing crazy as far as features but just a solid budget tent.

    Looks like a great idea, but I have a hard time imagining 1,000 for a tent. Plus, 2 dogs=104 and 45 pounds...so, WalMart tent= 126 x 106 inch tent. I believe it's tall enough to stand in, too. Well-rated. 87.00. ,

    Hi Alex, this video was really helpful! I am in the market for a rooftop tent that can handle 2 adults and 3 small children. It would be going on a Tacoma. I was wondering if I would get some advice. Which tent would you recommend and where do I find information on how much the roof of a Tacoma can handle? Thank you again for the great video! • @rooftentinsider512
      @rooftentinsider512  Před 3 lety +1

      I wish I had more knowledge on the OVS brand for you. It looks very similar in build to Smittybilt RTTs and might even be the same manufacturer with their brand slapped on it. I can only speak on Smittybilt's reputation which is great. I would do a price comparison and ask around in facebook groups if any one has experience with that particular brand. Hope that helps a bit!
