Damn I was hoping they’d finally give Alear the ability to transform. It doesn’t make sense that he’s a dragon, but never actually turns into a dragon.
Well, they need dragonstones to transform. Alear's is either currently in Veyles possession or (if played later) destroyed.
@@steffent.6477 It's super dumb that they didn't, not even in just a cutscene. They even hinted it in the Brodia segment (with the king saying that he would love to fight Alear in her dragon form and she wonders if she could do it like her mother).
@@IamCanadian3333 True enough. Why give us dragons when none of them except the parents (Lumera and Sombron) can actually use their dragon form. At least we got 2 new dragons with dragon stones in thes DLC.

The Four Winds are all incredibly charming characters! I think they did a great job making them feel different from their villainous counterparts, while still making them just familiar enough that those of us that wanted playable hounds will be happy.
Besides Mauvier, for some reason.

I theorized that everyone was a corrupted once I saw that Holy Stance worked on them. I thought it was some lore breaking glitch lol
You can actually tell as early as chapter 1 as Fodalgo had the corrupted tag
For the next Fire Emblem, can we have antagonist like this. I much prefer the idea of fallen heroes with corrupted ideals rather than another evil dragon. Evil Celine is cool and unhinged. Similar to how the Black Fang were manipulated but in this case they wouldn't be so easy to sway.

@Nobody True but Im talking about a singular straight forward story. No alternate routes or branching paths.
I figure this DLC was gonna take place in a dying world, but I didn't expect so much of it had actually and already DIED. On the bright side, now it feels evened out. The combined balance of the hounds and winds, dragons other than Veyle, on your side, and to see both genders of Alear interact, brief as it was. Not bad for a side story that can easily blend in to the main one.

I kinda find this dlc similar to awakenings the future past, where in a alternate timeline Robin is gone and Grima has plunged the world into chaos, Chrom and everyone else dead, the fate of the future lies on their kids, sure it’s not entirely similar but both of these dlcs explain what would happen if the events of the game didn’t happen, like what if Robin wasn’t able to break free of Grimas control and kill Chrom, and what if Alear was born as a pure divine dragon, so now we see that everything changes entirely

You could access the Fell Xenologue before Alear finds that out, wouldn’t make sense for them to suddenly know

It's all information dumped at the last. Should've been having more bits and pieces to lead to this; or have Sombron return and interfere by possessing Nil through said dragonstone.
None of it makes sense! Nothing! The characters just do things for no reason other than to serve a plot that doesn't exist! I have so many questions, and the only answer to any of them seems to be lazy writing and time crunch.
I'm usually really lenient on stories in games that I like, but damn, this one has all the nonsense that you expect from fanfiction! And fanfiction is great, but I don't pay money to read it!

This DLC almost screams "grimdark bleakness made by the fans for the fans" because you can never have enough darkness, amirite? I am rather glad that this is a DLC sidestory and not the sole main one, making it more fitting to serve as a terribly tragic but effective precautionary tale for the main game of how poorly things can go without the peace and goodwill of the divine dragons to save the world from something as vile and twisted as Sombron. Don't let Sombron win and destroy the world like what happened to this parallel Elyos.
Honestly wish it was the main story the story we got in this game is rough.

Are the new characters opened on all your saved files? Or you have to do the paralogue for each save?

Man I did the dlc in hard and It took me a lot of effort chapter 5 took me 35 turns to complete😂 ,I wouldn't imagine in maddening
Maddening took me about 35/40 and had to restart after hitting turn 10 once 🙃

Is this better to do on a new run at chapt. 4 or from a cleared game (Already cleared main story)?
Much easier later on, especially if you max out bonds for characters you can use instead of the guest characters

Question: Since Fell Xenologue downgrades you and upgrades you over time if I were to get a new weapon like Wille Glanz will it not be in your inventory or would be just a second Líberation?
I guess they didn't know that they could revive dead dragons when their Alear died. Calling Alear to their world is an interesting choice or was that caused by the power of the dead Alear?
Nil HAD THE POWER for it, since he juiced the Bracelets. xD
(Nel couldn't do it earlier, because Alear was needed to restore power to Edelgard.)

I don't know if it's a good idea to start the Fell Xenologue before continuing through the story. I still need to think about whether to do Tiki's paralogue, or just ball in Chapter 7.

Guys before I play this I gotta know. Does this have replayability? Or should I keep a separate save slot?
It's repayable of you want to use different units in it, but all units' levels, classes, and items are locked. I was pissed because I play Alear as a sage, so her sword skills were useless in this DLC, even though I was forced to use her as a sword unit.

@@swellsauce6115 Oh, no, you can't replay it in the same file. I think you can do skirmishes, but you can't go through the story again.

If you mean do you need to do the Divine paralogues to get the bracelets first, no. You only need to unlock the well in the Somniel.

Honestly the best part of Engage was this DLC for me.
Everything that was cute and quirky was now grim and consequential. They finally took things seriously.

Along with what he said, you also gain five new units.
You get the other 3 members of the 4 Winds (so you don't get 2 Mauviers) and the two Fell Dragon twins along with a bunch of items and 2 classes.

@Đỗ Khiêm Lãm you cant play the dlc fist you it is locked tell you get to chapter 6 of the main stroy so you have start the main story fist at last the fist 6 chapters tghen you can go to the dlc

I'm constantly wondering why the emblems' manner of speech sound so strained.
I could explain it but it's spoilers. I don't know where you are in the game so I won't say, but there's a reason. They really shouldn't even be able to talk.

@funni n original Yeah, in a nicer way: Fell dragons are a royal family of dragons/a supreme species of dragon on part with Divine ones, and can summon emblems like them too, but their magic corrupts the Emblem and turns them red.
They can't speak and are at the mercy of the wielder. It's implied the emblem is in pain. This world is different, so they're able to speak, but that's why they sound strained. Fell dragon magic.

No. As long as you download the update you can access the Xenologue from the well in the Sommiel. I'd only do it when you have a bunch of Emblems to back you up though & not straight after Ch 10/11.

What could nil be possibly gaining by obtaining all 7 emblem bracelets?
It enabled him to take on Dragon form which he couldn't before. His higher goals were to simply destroy his Elyos for whatever reason.
Oh you could give them your emblems, I didn't try it xD. So hopefull the last mission will be easier besides MC & Camilla and ivy& tiki is all I need ^^

It was definitely edge honesty it’s biggest problem was that we didn’t get enough time. Still nice to see other sides of the characters and the story at least better than fates. Can’t say the same for base which just sad
I was disappointed that he ended up being the villain because it seemed so obvious. I was hoping that it was Mauvier, because he had no other discernable differences from the other Mauvier. Instead, we got no explanation for that and Nil as the worst FE villain ever. Oliver from Path of Radiance was more threatening.

Honestly that twist caught me off guard. Especially with all royals being corrupted. Nil definitely not worst antagonists. Think his true introduction showed how much threat he was. Can’t say same for hounds. Don’t get me wrong they were things wrong with it. But for story that’s only 6 chapters it’s definitely unique.
@rances4418 If you enjoyed it, then great! I just spent my entire playthrough asking questions that never really got answered, so I came out of it more confused than anything.

So Nel really dies because her stone broke, right? While Alear was just badly wounded by Sombron with her stone intact when her mother healed her in those 1000 years. That means resurrection vs just healing, right? Damn Rafal, you had one hell of a task befor you.
The reaction to seeing our Alear of some of the chars is a bit confusing. Different hair colour and (sometimes) different gender should make the difference obvious.

Does it not bother anyone else that Nel was in love with AU Alear when Sombron is also their father therefore making them siblings? 🤢 Not to mention the fact that Nel & Rafal ARE still brother & sister even if they are not twins & nobody realises it? 🤦🏼♀️
AU Alear was not Sombron's child. He was a pure divine dragon (blue hair).
