the fact that, ramattra was MEANT to be released with the FULL PvE (ramattra is the leader of null sector, and the null sector gamemode was part of the full PvE)
and they did have this planned ORIGINALLY, but the higher ups just wanted more money and cancelled the dev’s hard work

From a business stand point it entirely makes sense that they cancelled the pve. From what I’ve read the portion of the community that was infatuated with pve barely played the game much less ever bought anything (albeit never buying anything I totally get overwatch 2 mometization is 100% a scam lol) thus the only people who actually play the game continuously are people like me who could not care less about it and play the multplialyer so tops they lost like 10-15% of their active player base and in return are now capable of using all of their resources for more consistent faster updates thus pampering to their audience that actually generates revenue rather than pampering to the portion taht doesn’t.
If u genuinely expected anything from the pve mode ur foolish look at any of their other limited modes and think for 10 secs that using a similar model for enemies and gameplay would lead to a bland and boring game. For example the ai’s in custom games “play” like they threw together the code in minutes and the only difficulty spikes in limited modes like
Junkenstein are increase enemy health and damage by X. If u genuinely are craving a single player game than go play a single player game that’s known for being good and not a multiplexer game owned by multiplayer company trying to make a single player game. And on the pve if ur niche was the story than that of itself is silly as the “lore” of overwatch is incredibly basic and linear just generic superheroes save the day stuff but again if ur set on that then they’re releasing the story cinematics or whatever
The only point I agree with is that it was a mistake to stop updating the first game for pve but they only did so because a portion of the community hyper fixated on cinematics and in doing so overhyped what would be an obviously subpar pve mode. So if anything it’s on the community for “killing” the game it would have been better to never promise anything and just stick to updating overwatch 1. But in defense of canceling the pve that was a good move because again the only active players are multiplayer players who don’t care for pve so expending resources on something most of its player base would not care about is absurd.
As an active player since 2016 this new wave of fans are so annoying I could be wrong and assume wrong but a majority of these people I’ve read complaining are people who barely played overwatch 2 and only played overwatch 1 for a while and it makes no sense to me that this grouping can be so aggrieved by a game they barely played and we’re never coerced into spending money or time the only thing u truly lost was ur “trust” as if trusting a large company is a bright thing to do in the first place

Even his ult is terrible and does nothing but get in everyone's way. His abilities are good and his primary fire is fine but he fails to be the role he was put in.

I'd just like to thank you for making this game.
I am a father, and my 10yo Son plays your game all day and all night. Sadly, he has a rare genetic disorder that I'd rather not get into, and because of this, it is unlikely that he will make it into his 20s.
That is why it makes me so happy seeing and hearing him have so much fun on this game.
And actually, the reason I'm even watching this video and writing this comment is because I overheard my son talking to his friends about 'Overwatch PVE' mode and was saying something about a skill tree, whatever that is. I have never heard my son talk so enthusiastically about something in my life. He blabbered on for 20 straight minutes about PVE, how it would be a big expansive story with heaps of customizations to your skills, which is exactly the type of thing my son loves!
So thank you, Blizzard. I mean it.
My Son now has something to look forward to, and that keeps him strong.
He and I both can't wait to see all the skill customization and PVE adventures! Hopefully it's not too long of a wait!

This trailer ALMOST made me feel as if it all the waiting for PVE would've been worth it. Y'all I want you to picture this... After watching this, and seeing the reactions to what happened and all that... I really wish Blizzard had not promised the world back in 2019. Just came out and said "we're going to give you story missions" - and have a pretty basic setup for those missions.
I know people hate the comparison to Fortnite, and I get it, but like, they are seemingly doing everything right. They have, in effect released four "sequels" (in the same way Blizzard defines a sequel, anyway) since THE ANNOUNCEMENT of Overwatch 2, and everyone loves the additional content they put out each time.
How badly I want Blizzard to release seasons, and every couple of seasons, have some kind of end of season event to help move the story along, just drop a few missions here and there. Then every year or so do a massive event with some major changes to the game, or more specifically additions to make the game better.
I loved when Soldier 76 said "I've got you in my sights" and proceeded to eliminate PvE from the game. Truly an Overwatch experience
Here's to hoping the story missions aren't locked behind a paywall every season and actually stay in the game after the season they release cuz this actually looks fun

Blizzards long term, and especially recent track record, shows that there isn't a chance under the sky that this won't be monetized.
They will probably be monetized, however they will be permanent additions to the game. Not just seasonal missions like before.
That would be the only redeeming thing they could do for the game, so I wouldn't expect that because that doesnt make them money

@@anthony2472 I still have some hope that in the Story-Missions the Heroes could have some special abilites compared to PvP for example Lucio being able to damage enemies he boops at walls, Mei can freeze enemies completly with primary fire or Reinhardt´s Firestrike burning enemies. It would at least make the Story-Missions a bit more interesting besides most likely being as the Archive-Missions.
MAN THIS IS EPIC!! This small studio has a lot of potential with their characters, mechanics, story and film work! Can’t wait for more like this! Probably would take a few years though

Ok, thank you for this one, cuz it's giving justice to the people who now suffer from our hate. Developers didn't deserve to be hated on this badly, maybe to some extent, but not that much
I can't believe that they're replacing pve with a few story missions, blizzard is truly a great company, thank you so much for doing this for us, honestly a skill tree doesnt even compare to a firing range that isnt available on aimlabs or anything!
and the small indie company can earn more money with battlepasses!!
My number one moment was when Cassidy said “It’s High Time” and Deadeye’d 80% of the PVE Content. Truly the best Play of the Game in Overwatch History.

@@Schniblogg everyone has their gaming types and PVE has been introduced before. Let those who enjoy it have their fun. Both can exist it’s not one or the other. Also PVE will help those explore other Hero Types they normally wouldn’t play carrying what they learned to Multiplayer.

1. going since 2020 without any content with the promise of a whole new slew of content, for them to cancel it
2. Being LIED too about the state of the content (they admitted in an interview they knew since the pvp release of overwatch 2 that they weren't going to deliver on the PVE, and yet blatantly lied about the status of the PVE mode to generate false hype)
3. The balancing and gameplay being some of the worst it's ever been
4. Overwatch 2 being disguised as a poor balance update and a monetization update that NOBODY wanted, just to generate hype
5. An update that literally took away content from the game (maps are no longer playable in the map rotations in comp/qp)
You're right, we are just too selfish. How dare we not want to be lied too and deceived for the sake of padding Activision-Blizzards wallets. I've seen the light, and I'm now gonna go buy all the skins I can and level up my battle pass as much as I can 🙏

Can't wait to play a 15 minute story mission and then have to wait till next season to know how the story ends!
you can play more than one mission
They will be locationally episodic, so each location will have it's own set story to tell and there are 3 missions being released here.
