  • Officials say the section of the Francis Scott Key Bridge trapping the cargo ship dolly weighs between 3,000 and 4,000 tons, so before the Army Corps of Engineers can start moving anything off the water, they must cut the debris into smaller pieces.

When you are cutting the metal, you do not know the forces on that steel and do not know how it will move when cut. That is what makes it so dangerous.

I've picked many loaded shipping containers with my 30 ton crane over the years. ONE at a time, and usually from as close as possible. To see the number of containers on the ship (and many more we can't see) gives me a pretty good idea of the weight involved, throw in the weight of the ship itself, and my mind boggles. Working with a torch from a man basket, with a water borne crane, with twisted masses of steel, they will be taking a while, as they should, damn dangerous.

Then you realize how incompetent the city officials have been for refusing to put safety first, on a key Bridge that is use to move most of America's Cargo by not having dolphins installed as safety barriers in front of those main structural pylons which would've easily prevented that ship from crashing into the Bridge. That's what dolphins are designed for and built for in the first place, they knew this was a problem to stop tragedies from happening. They should've learn their lesson from the SUNSHINE SKYWAY BRIDGE in Florida when a container ship crashed into the bridge and killed 35 people. but they failed to follow through with such safety measures. Sad situation if you ask me. Bridges in the US need to be seriously looked into to make sure their all up to par on safety concerns.

    BALTIMORE'S - TEARS OF LOVE = 2024 !!
Tears are the raindrops of the soul
And there's one for all who die.
They are the silent words of grief
As they fall free from the eye.
The shortest verse in the Bible
Is the one where Jesus wept
So, if you hold back tears, shed them
When your pain is too harsh to accept.
Tears are lovelier than a smile
When they come from those you love
As they seek relief from sadness
    When you're summoned from above.
Tears are a love-mates humble gift
When it's time to say goodbye
Though the eyes are wet and swollen
With time and patience they dry.

This is not a physical universe, its a spiritual universe where everything is energy and mind. Everything that happens is to bring you back home to divine love. Your beliefs makes it real, but its all an illusion. Enjoy the show. Remember to buy popcorn and coke. 😃
